In the summer of 2020, a group of 5 of us drove from Tianjin to Xilin Gol, Inner Mongolia, and finally arrived at the beautiful Uragai Grassland in the depths of Ximeng~
China is the country with the richest grassland resources in the world. The four major grasslands in China include the Hulun Buir Grassland in Inner Mongolia, the Xilingol Grassland in Inner Mongolia, the Yili Grassland in Xinjiang, and the Nagqu Alpine Grassland in Tibet.
The sky is dark, the wild is vast, the wind blows the grass and the cattle and sheep are low~~ The four grasslands are lush with water and grass, and the cattle and sheep are in groups, which is too beautiful to behold.
I visited Hulunbeier and Yili a few years ago, and was deeply shocked by the beauty of the grassland.
On the morning of July 30, 2020, we set off from Tianjin to Xilin Gol, passing through plains-mountains-hills-grassland along the way, transitioning from the large cornfields in Hebei Province to the flocks of cattle and sheep in Inner Mongolia, and transitioning from farming culture to animal husbandry culture~
On the road from Chifeng to Xilin Gol, I gradually saw the rudiment of the grassland. After arriving at Xiwuzhu Banner in the depths of Xilin Gol, the green grass stretched as far as the eye could see, and the beautiful scenery of the grassland was unobstructed. Continue to drive in the direction of Dongwuzhu Banner, which is known as the Tianbian Grassland Ula Gai~
The Uragai Grassland in summer is very beautiful. The grassland is named after the Uragai River. It is one of the best-preserved natural grasslands in the world and has the reputation of "the horizon grassland".
There are primitive grasslands, lakes, Shaoyaogou, Huanghuagou and other unique grassland scenery in the territory, as well as historical and cultural relics such as Bulin Temple, Genghis Khan’s side wall, and Gulab Saihan International Obo.
It is about 1,000 kilometers from Tianjin to Uragai Grassland, and we stayed in Chifeng for one night on the way.
Depart in the morning via Jinji Expressway, Capital Ring Road, Changshen Expressway, and Daguang Expressway, and arrive at Meilin Valley in the south of Chifeng in more than 4 hours. Meilin Valley is located in the southwest of Jinshan Town, Karaqin Banner, Chifeng, 300 kilometers away from Beijing, 87 kilometers away from Chengde, and 91 kilometers away from Chifeng.
Meilin Valley—a place with lush water and grass. Meilin Township is located in a forest area with a cool climate, abundant rainfall and pleasant scenery. Historically, it was part of the Mulan paddock. The 19 circular slopes in the township are all located at the foot of the mountain in the leeward direction. The mountains here are gentle and the water and grass are abundant. It is a good place to get close to nature and appreciate the feeling of a paradise.

Stayed in Chifeng for one night, and continued to drive north the next morning. The beautiful scenery along the way, the land of China is so magnificent!

Seoul, Mongolia is located in the grassland hinterland of West Ujumqin Banner, 15 kilometers away from Bayan Ula Town, the banner government. Mongolian Khan City mainly focuses on Mongolian cultural tourism, leisure and entertainment, and grassland tourism. The overall layout is built on the basis of the city of Khan in the enthronement ceremony of "Genghis Khan", which reproduces the style and features of the Mongolian tribes in the Genghis Khan era. It is centered on the golden-roofed tent and surrounded by more than 100 yurts. During the day, there are activities such as horse racing, horse riding, archery, riding a Lele car, and riding a camel, and there are bonfire performances at night.
Continue to drive northeast to the grassland, the scenery is getting more and more beautiful. In the afternoon, arrive at Bayin Hushuo Town, the center of Ulagai Management Area~
Ulagai Management District is located in the northeast of Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia, at the junction of Xilin Gol League, Xing'an League, and Tongliao City, bordering Huolingol City in the south, and Aershan in the northeast.
The Ulagai Grassland is not only famous for its beauty, but also has rich historical and cultural resources. Located at the confluence of the Ulagai River and its tributary, the Seyelji River, in the Ulagai Management Area, it is a famous ancient battlefield site. According to records, Genghis Khan completely wiped out his mighty old enemy, the Tatar tribe, in this magical land during the battle to unify the tribes of Mongolia, clearing the way for the great cause of unifying Mongolia.
That night, I lived in Bayin Hushuo Town, and after dinner, I took a walk in the Bingtuan Park in the town. In the 1960s and 1970s, 20,000 educated youths from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and other areas came to Ulagai to build the Bingtuan and spent their hard work and dedication. youthful years.
Leaving the town the next morning, heading towards the nearby Uragai River~
The Uragai River, the largest inland river in Inner Mongolia, with a total length of more than 300 kilometers, traverses the Ujimqin Grassland and originates from Baogeda Mountain on the west side of the Greater Khingan Mountains. The river flows southwest to the Seyeleji River, forming large wetlands and lakes, and finally pours into the lowest depression in the Ujimqin Basin.
Soon arrived at the beautiful Uragai River ~ like a bright pearl on the grassland.
The Uragai River is very clear. Professor Cui and I like to take the speedboat the most. The feeling of riding the wind and waves is great!
The road around the Uragai River goes around the lake, with lush water and grass and beautiful scenery.
Living in the educated youth town of Dongwuzhu Banner at night, the moment I opened the balcony door, I was amazed by the scenery in front of me:

In the evening, we had dinner on the open-air balcony and drank a lot of local prairie white. The scenery and atmosphere are simply beautiful, haha~~
The next morning, I opened the curtains at 6 o'clock in the morning, and was amazed by the beauty of the grassland again~

The Uragai River flutters over the vast Uragai grassland like a long hada. Genghis Khan once felt here: "This place is a place of good fortune, clear water and green mountains, and it will become a prosperous place." The beautiful Uragai River is quiet. Flowing on the green grassland, it also evokes people's infinite reverie. The Ulagai grassland is also the place where many photographers and film and television dramas are filmed. The movie "Wolf Totem" was shot on this grassland.
Visit Jiuqu Bay on the third day:
Wulagai Jiuqu Bay is a famous scenic spot in Xilingol League, which belongs to the Wulagai Management Area and is located in Haragaitu Farm, Bayinhushuo Town, Xilin Gol League.
The Uragai River winds and turns, like a silver hada clamped on the green land. Jiuqu Bay is located on the east bank of Uragai Lake, connected to the entrance of the lake. The riverside is covered with green grass and wild flowers, and the aroma is striking. flocks of sheep.
Go back to the prairie hut in the afternoon and continue to enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window:
On the fourth day of leisure travel, enter the grassland deep in Dongwuzhu Banner, the environment is more original, and there is no one under the sky of Nuoda:
The yellow line in the picture below is the national border of Outer Mongolia. The depth of Dongwuzhu is close to the national border. It is estimated that the population density is very small. No wonder the grassland of Nuoda is empty:
The weather in the grassland today is really unpredictable. In the morning, the sky was clear, and a huge hailstorm suddenly fell at 10:00 in the morning. After the clearing at noon, the sky was blue and white, and it rained again in the afternoon. The weather is too capricious, haha~
It was a worthwhile trip to explore the grassland deep in Dongwuzhu. In the afternoon, I returned to the educated youth town for dinner. The moment I walked out of the educated youth cafeteria, I suddenly saw a beautiful rainbow in the sky:
I was very lucky on this trip, and I was even luckier in 2020. I saw different scenery~~

On the morning of the fifth day, reluctantly left Uragai Grassland, departed from East Wuzhu Banner and returned to Tianjin.
The route is Dongwuzhu-Xiwuzhu-Linxi-Chifeng-Chengde-Tangshan-Tianjin.
On the road from Xiwuzhu Banner to Linxi County, a large field of rapeseed came across by chance, and tourists stopped their cars one after another.
The beautiful and fragrant rape blossoms brought us an unexpected surprise, this trip is perfect!
When passing through the Chengde area, I found a large piece of marigold again, which is very similar to the plant species in Chifeng Meilin Valley:
After more than ten hours of long-distance travel, I finally returned to my warm home. Haha, August 3rd is the hottest period~~The grassland is extremely cool~~
China’s four major grasslands are well-deserved. The Xilin Gol grassland in summer is indeed beautiful, and it is not too far from Tianjin. I will come again if I have the opportunity~~
