our itinerary
For children, this will be a poetic growth journey about exploration
Live between the stars and the desert, get to know the vast starry sky, challenge desert hiking, participate in sand control and environmental protection, walk in northwest villages, and accept a baptism of traditional culture. There is no comfort of a 5-star hotel here, but there are 5 million stars lighting up the sky when you look up. This is a natural "planetary museum". You can count the summer starry sky and iconic constellations by looking up: Scorpio, Sagittarius, Ursa, Lyra, Fairy, Shepherd, etc., and identify stars such as the summer triangle, Big Dipper, and Arcturus. Tonight, in the depths of the desert, away from all artificial light sources, we will witness a gorgeous starry sky. There are also professional stargazing equipment, which can shorten the distance between children and the stars, and appreciate the amazing posture of little stars. The starry sky is the quilt, the desert is the bed, blending into the space between heaven and earth

Battalion Commander's Comments: I personally like it very much, it has a sense of the times and features. In the Tengger Desert, a green locomotive with 17 carriages stands still. This train is full of luxury sleepers, and runs from Tengger Desert Station to 1958 Station. It is transformed from the steam locomotive used when my country's first desert railway, the Baolan Railway, was opened to traffic in the 1950s. The room is clean and tidy, equipped with an independent bathroom, and the Internet is unobstructed; living here, you can look out the window at the desert wilderness, enjoy all kinds of desert customs, watch the sunrise and sunset during the day, and watch the moon and stars at night.

The team leader introduced the local humanities on the way, and the astronomy teacher gave a pre-departure warm-up class to lay the foundation for stargazing at night

It takes about 3 hours to drive to the place where the farmhouse meal is at noon. It is rich and delicious. There is also a children's playground in the yard of the farmhouse, which is especially suitable for children to break the ice.

After breakfast, pack up the tent and start today's trip. Today, the children will hike separately from their parents. According to Brother Xiangzi, this is a time to test the parents; in his past experience, there are no children who cannot complete the journey, only parents who cannot persevere. wait and see
If I hadn’t come to the Tengger Desert, it might be difficult to understand【The story of Wheatgrass Grid Sand Control]. Take a car from Zhongwei City and enter the southeastern part of the Tengger Desert. The sand dunes are rolling. Unlike what you see elsewhere, the vast desert here is "woven" into small squares by golden dry grass. The golden square represents the golden honor—”The National Science and Technology Progress Achievement Award and the United Nations Global 500 Best Environment Award. The 60 cm long wheat straw is folded into the sand with a shovel, half buried and half exposed. In this way, it can be tied into a grid of 1 meter square and connected into pieces to fix the sand. From the avenue to simplicity, it is folk wisdom forced out by wind and sand.

North Changtan is located on the north bank of the Yellow River in the midst of high mountains, far away from Nanchangtan on the south bank of the Yellow River. It is the first small village where the Yellow River enters the north bank of Ningxia. This is a natural village full of the charm of natural scenery and the temptation of original ecological dwellings.
