In early and mid-April 2021, during my trip to Tibet, I visited the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon. The picture shows a commemorative photo I took at the entrance of the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon.
After breakfast, we departed from Bayi Town and drove south along the Niyang River, one of the main tributaries of the Yarlung Zangbo River. Trees, grasslands, and crops are full of vitality. Photos were taken en route.
In April, everything comes back to life, and Nyingchi, known as the small southern part of Tibet, is covered with a layer of green clothes, and peach blossoms are in full bloom everywhere.

The high mountains on both sides are looming under the surrounding of clouds and mist, as if entering a fairyland.
At 9:30, we passed the "Confluence of Rivers" stele. This should be the confluence of the Niyang River and the Yarlung Zangbo River.

Beside the stone tablet of "Confluence of Rivers", there are vendors selling fruits and local products.

Continue to move forward, passing a small village, the name of the village seems to be "Tanniang".
"Tanniang" village faces the Yarlung Zangbo River in front, and leans against the green hills in the back, surrounded by clouds and mist, and peach blossoms are in full bloom, which is too beautiful to behold.

The sign beside the Yarlung Zangbo River indicates that this is "Yani National Wetland Park".
"Yani National Wetland Park" has a beautiful scenery.
Not far from the village, beside the Yarlung Zangbo River, is the "Tanniang Sand Dunes", also known as "Buddha's Palm Sand Dunes". In winter and spring, the water potential of the Yarlung Zangbo River slows down, and a large area of the riverbed is exposed. The wind plays with the riverbed, blows the sand on it, and piles up sand dunes. Tanniang Sand Dune is one of them.

The Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon is the most mysterious area on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Because of its unique geographical structure, it is regarded by scientists as "the keyhole that opens the door to the history of the earth." The photo was taken near the entrance of the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon. I don't know if the mountain behind is Namjagbarwa. The weather was not so good after that.
The Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon has a total length of 504.6 kilometers. From the entrance to the exit, the sky is different for three miles. The unique natural scenery has become a tourist attraction for tourists to explore and enjoy the scenery. The photo was taken near the entrance of the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon.
When I came to the visitor center at the entrance of the Grand Canyon, I found that the buildings here were all built with local stones, and they were extremely harmonious with the surrounding natural landscape in terms of building materials, volume, and layout. The picture shows the waiting hall of the visitor center.
Take your tickets and meal coupons, and go to the "buffet" first. The buffet standard is 50 yuan/person. Included in the entrance ticket and the interval ticket, you have to eat even if it is unpalatable! The picture shows us taking a tourist bus in the scenic spot.
Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, from Daduka Village, Pai Town, Milin County in the north, to Baxika Village, Medog County in the south, has a total length of 504 kilometers, the deepest point is 6009 meters, and the average depth is 2268 meters. It is the highest canyon in the world. , is also the deepest and largest canyon in the world. The canyon is like a green gateway in the southeast of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, facing the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean, providing a natural passage for the warm and humid air from the Indian Ocean. The photo was taken near Daduka Village.
The first stop of the shuttle bus is the site of King Gongbu. The picture shows the ruins of King Gongbu from a distance.
The Nyingchi area is commonly known as the "Gongbu" area. Historically, it belonged to the territory of King Gongbu and was ruled by King Gongbu. The picture shows the Monument of King Gongbu.

The natural landscape of the entire Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon can be summed up as "the beauty of the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon is the best in the world". It is said that its show is the best in the world, which mainly means that it is the leader in the breadth, depth and strength of the show. The second stop of the shuttle bus is Millennium Gusang.
According to local historical records, this thousand-year-old mulberry tree was planted by Songtsan Gampo and Princess Wencheng to witness their unswerving love for each other. The tree is more than 1,450 years old! The picture shows a close view of the thousand-year-old mulberry.
The thousand-year-old mulberry tree has a diameter of 11 meters and a height of 8 meters. The picture shows a distant view of the thousand-year-old mulberry.
Thousands of years ago, there were local Tibetans performing dances.
On the square thousands of years ago, there is a huge Mani stone.
The third stop of the shuttle bus is Qingbi Shijian. The love is stronger than the stone, that is, the boulder is divided into two, and a peach tree grows in the gap, which is very strange. There is a touching love story that has been handed down in the local area to this day. Love refers to a peach tree in the middle of a rock, and the peach blossom symbolizing love is endless, even breaking through a boulder, it will continue to grow endlessly, so it is called "love is stronger than stone".
Next to Qingbi Shijian, there is another huge stone that is being modified. Maybe there will be new stories in the future.
The fourth stop of the shuttle bus is the hydrophilic platform.
The hydrophilic platform is one of the best places to watch Nanga Bawa Peak at an altitude of 7782 meters. Namjagbarwa is the highest peak in the Eastern Himalayas. Because its huge triangular peak is covered with snow all year round and shrouded in clouds and mist, it never reveals its true colors easily, so it has the reputation of "Shameful Girl Peak" and "Paradise in the Clouds". It is a pity that the weather is not strong, the clouds and fog are too large, and Namjagbarwa Peak has never shown its true face.
The hydrophilic platform can go down to the shore to watch the Yarlung Zangbo River.
Now is the dry season, and the water flow of the Brahmaputra River is not too strong. In the past, the current here was very fast.

In the past, the shuttle bus still went to Zhibai Village, and Zhibai Village is also the best place to see Mount Namjagbarwa, but now I don’t go there. We took the shuttle bus back to the sightseeing car hall. Today's trip to the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon ends here.
