In early and mid-April 2021, during my trip to Tibet, I visited Ranwu Lake. The picture shows a commemorative photo I took at Ranwu Lake.
From Bomi County to Ranwu Lake, next to National Highway 318 in Songzong Town, there is a towering and protruding snow peak that is very eye-catching. The difference from the surrounding snow peaks is that its peak has layers of scattered patterns. The exposed rocks are shaped like the armor worn by ancient soldiers, which is very peculiar, so the locals call it "Armor Mountain".
We were attracted by the mountains and stopped to take pictures. The iron gray and white outlines of this group of snow mountains resemble the castle pattern of the Potala Palace, and also resemble the patterns on the armor worn by ancient soldiers, so it is called Armor Mountain. The name of this snow mountain is Song Dongba Reshen Mountain, the main peak is 5028 meters above sea level.
According to local Tibetan legends, Songdongba Reshenshan is one of the famous thirteen holy places. The picture shows peach blossoms in full bloom at the foot of Reshen Mountain in Song Dongba.
Ranwu Lake is located in the southwest corner of Basu County, Qamdo Prefecture, about 90 kilometers away from Baima Town, Ranwu Township, the county seat. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake.
Ranwu Lake is 3,850 meters above sea level and covers an area of about 22 square kilometers. It is the largest lake in eastern Tibet. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake.
Ranwu Lake was originally the upper reaches of the Palong Zangbo River. About 200 years ago, the mountain near the current exit collapsed, and a large number of huge boulders and broken rocks blocked the river, forming a typical barrier lake. 29 kilometers, the average width is less than 1 kilometer, and the river is not deep, generally no more than 6 meters. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake.
The cause of Ranwu Lake is a barrier lake formed by landslides or mud-rock flows blocking the river. There are many barrier lakes formed in the southeast of Tibet where geological movements are active. Ranwu Lake is well known to many travelers who travel along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway because it is close to the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake.
Ranwu Lake means "a lake where corpses are piled together". According to legend, there is a buffalo in the lake and a yellow ox on the shore of the lake. They wrestled with each other and turned into a mountain after death. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake.
There is Gangrigabu Snow Mountain in the southwest of the lake, Azagonla Glacier in the south, and Boshula Ridge in the northeast. The ice and snow melt water from the surrounding snow mountains constitutes the main supply water source of Ranwu Lake, and the well makes the lake water pour westward to form one of the upper sources of Palong Zangbo, an important tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River, a famous river in Tibet. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake.
The tranquility and blueness of Ranwu Lake are well-known far and near. Dead branches and debris are rarely seen in the lake, and the scenery around the lake is different. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake.
The color of Ranwu Lake is very rich, the grassland, forest, autumn leaves, white waterfowl and colorful pebbles on the shore and shoal are as fresh as a mirror reflection. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake.
In the evening, the electric towers and roads next to Ranwu Lake were beautifully photographed.

On the shore of Ranwu Lake, a new camping car base for self-driving tours has been built, which is very beautiful.
There is a viewing platform at the camping car base, which is a good place to take pictures of Ranwu Lake. Someone is taking pictures with a drone here.
There are also beautiful yachts at the camping car base, and you can take a yacht tour to Ranwu Lake.
Some tourists brought beautiful dogs to visit Ranwu Lake.
Because Ranwu Lake can still flow out, in addition to the precipitation supply, there is also sufficient supply of ice and snow melt water from the surrounding areas such as Boshula Ridge, Gabugangri Snow Mountain and Azagonla Glacier, so the mineralization of the lake is very low. The liter of water contains only 0.3 grams of salt, which is a freshwater lake. The photo was taken at Ranwu Lake.
I want to take pictures of the golden mountain in the sunshine of Ranwu Lake, but today's light is not ideal.
The mountains around Ranwu Lake are dangerous and steep, and many peaks above 5,000 meters above sea level have glaciers. This is the Rizhao Jinshan I took at Ranwu Lake when I entered Tibet five times.
I got up early the next morning, ready to take photos of Jinshan in the sunshine, but the weather was not beautiful. The photo was taken in Ranwu Town.
This is the People's Government of Ranwu Town.
On the hillside behind the People's Government of Ranwu Town, there is a small temple.

Ranwu Lake Scenic Area is divided into three scenic areas: upper, middle and lower reaches. It is composed of three cascaded lakes, which are Yangcuo Lake, Pangcuo Lake and Leng'anjiabu Lake. Although the three lakes are of the same origin, they each have their own merits. The photo was taken in front of the hotel where we stayed.
