If you take stock of domestic niche check-in places suitable for short-distance travel, Taipei should be regarded as a treasure city.

There is a prosperous international trade center, and there are also quaint cottages not far away, which are suitable for movement and tranquility.

It was the end of November when I went to Taiwan. I am sorry that it took so long to publish this travel note. There won't be many tourists at that time.

The weather of more than 20 degrees is very comfortable, it is a very relaxing journey~

Now let's take a look at which treasure destinations I have punched in in Taipei~

Destination punch

Ruifang Railway Station

Ruifang Station is a must-pass station on the Pingxi Line, and we changed trains here.

There are two island-style platforms in the station. There are not many people and the space is large. If the light is good, it is very suitable for taking pictures. The mint green pillars on the platforms are very fresh.

If you get off at Ruifang Station, you can see buses and buses as soon as you get out, and the traffic is very convenient no matter where you go.

It is strongly recommended that you buy a one-day ticket for the Pingxi Line after getting off the train, and then go to the visitor center to take a picture of the train schedule for the Pingxi Line section. The trains on this line usually leave every hour. It is best to estimate the time before visiting. Make arrangements, otherwise if you miss one bus, you will have to wait a long time for the next one.

The check-in places on the Pingxi line are basically my favorite haha. In addition to Jingdong and Pingxi, there are also Shifen Old Street and Houtong Cat Village, the long-awaited cat spot!

You can reserve a whole day on the Pingxi line. Take the bus to Ruifang before noon, go to Houtong Cat Village in the afternoon to have afternoon tea with cats, and then go to Shifen Old Street to release sky lanterns after the sun goes down. This is the most efficient arrangement~

Houtong Cat Village

In fact, Houtong Cat Village is the last stop in Shifen Old Street, but I want to release sky lanterns at sunset, so I went to Cat Village first~

On the ancient streets of mountain village houses around Houtong Station, there are many cats gathered. Here you can enjoy the full healing brought by the cats~Real name recommendation~~

Most of the cats living in Baimao Street are not afraid of strangers because of their close contact with tourists for a long time. Some cats will take the initiative to run over and act like a baby~

I heard that when the day is hot, they will hide in a cool place, and will come out to look for food in the evening, so it is easy to see a large number of cats gathering in the evening. But luckily, the weather was very cool when we went.

In 2013, the cat village also launched a unique "cat bridge" shared by humans and cats, which has become another highlight of the cat village~

The walls of the buildings around the "Cat Bridge" are full of colorful paintings. The paintings are mainly cartoon versions of the daily life of cats, and the colors are also lovely cream colors~

In the cat village, you will see many cat-themed cafes or dessert shops, each with its own characteristics.

Some shopkeepers will hang a small blackboard on the wall at the entrance, write the special meals and drinks in the shop, and use a few cartoon cats to greet customers, maybe you can see the deity when you walk in the shop!

We ordered a roasted jelly, and we can choose the ingredients according to our own taste. The taste is not very sweet, and the amount is quite enough, so we can’t eat more, or we won’t be able to eat the greasy dinner haha~

Shifen Old Street

It is most suitable to release sky lanterns in Shifen Old Street after sunset, very romantic~

The old street is not far from the station, just take a leisurely walk for a while.

When I got off the train and got out of the station, I found that it was drizzling, so I bought a transparent umbrella along the way, and I felt very good when I took pictures.

After nightfall, the old street is dotted with dots of lights, making it more distinctive.

The shop owners are very enthusiastic. The shop owners always help us take pictures when the sky lanterns are released. Although the technology is a bit hard to describe, the most important thing is to participate, and the atmosphere will be very relaxing~

In addition to sky lanterns, you can also take beautiful photos with fireworks sticks sold on the streets.

Taipei 101

101 can be regarded as a landmark of Taipei, but I haven’t been to Taipei several times, so I can’t miss it this time.

It is the center of the financial and trade zone in Taipei's Xinyi District. It is considered a bustling area in Taipei. There are many shopping malls in and around the building. You might as well go shopping after you come down.

The top floor of Building 101 is actually very small, only 3.3 square meters! It takes two lifts to get there.

The main indoor observation deck of the building is on the 89th floor, and the souvenir shop is also on the same floor. You can buy a postcard and stamps, stamp it with a postmark of 101, post it in the highest mailbox in Taiwan, and mail it to yourself. It is very meaningful~

The outdoor observation deck is on 91F, and you can go up the stairs directly from 89F. It is quite enjoyable to think about walking the stairs at a place almost 400 meters above the ground.

There are restaurants and coffee shops on the lower floors. If you plan to travel, it is best to make an appointment in advance, otherwise you will have to wait in line for a long time.

Four Four South Village

Sisi South Village is less than 500 meters southwest of Taipei 101. It is known as the "model military village" at the foot of Taipei 101.

This is a cultural and creative park full of literary and artistic atmosphere, which moderately retains the original appearance of the military dependents' village. There is a tree at the entrance, which is somewhat hidden, and the surrounding birds are singing and cicadas are singing, and it is very quiet.

Sisi South Village is located in a prime location, and most of the family homes have been demolished, leaving only four rows of buildings.

The cafes in the corners and alleys and the retro and nostalgic houses still constitute this small and fresh gathering place in the busy city. There will be special markets on holidays. It is recommended that young artists and girls must come and experience it.

When you are tired from shopping, you must buy a sweet ice cream and sit on the bench to eat slowly. After recovering, you can check in at the next travel destination~

to experience

Yangmingshan Hot Spring

Yangmingshan Hot Spring is located in Yangmingshan Scenic Area, and has two parts: Front Mountain Hot Spring and Back Mountain Hot Spring.

We can enter Qianshan Hot Spring. On the mountain to the east of Zhongshan Building, the water temperature can reach almost 70 degrees. Hot spring water also has different colors, and of course the effects are also different. Generally, the most popular spring water is clear milky white and dark green.

Houshan Hot Spring is in Houshan Park, which is what we often call Yangmingshan Park, but it belongs to a special control area, and most of them are private hot springs, and we can't get in, so there are plans to go to the hot springs. It’s fine if your partner chooses Qianshan Hot Spring~

You can also choose a hot spring hotel, rest on the mountain for one night, soak in private soup, and watch the scenery, which is very pleasant.

New Taipei Christmasland

When I went to Taipei, it was almost December. Of course, New Taipei Christmas City cannot be missed. The highlight of this trip to Taiwan is here~

When it comes to New Taipei Christmasland, the first thing that comes to mind must be the cool Christmas tree! You can feel the strong Christmas atmosphere here in advance, and there are colorful light shows in turn~

The theme of 2018 is the galaxy, and four major light areas and four sky bridges have been created.

The Santa Galaxy connects Taiwan's largest light sculpture projection streamer corridor, the Symphony Galaxy has a huge LED psychedelic planet, the Boli Galaxy is most suitable for children to visit, and there is also a ring galaxy that extends to the MRT.

Among the four major galaxies and flyovers, my favorite is the Pink Star Bridge in the picture! Strolling in the sea of pink lights makes a girl's heart burst, super romantic, especially suitable for taking pictures~

The giant Christmas tree in Christmas City has a light show every year. From 17:30 to 22:00 every day, there will be a main light show every hour, so there is no need to worry about missing this visual feast.

It is usually open until January 1st of each year, one and a half months, friends who go to Taipei must not miss it!

Food

Jinshan Old Street

Jinshan Old Street, which gathers local specialties in Taipei, is definitely worth a five-star recommendation!

In the eyes of locals in Taipei, Jinshan Old Street can be said to be known to everyone. It is said that coming to Jinshan Old Street is the correct way to open up the surrounding areas of Taipei.

Eating here is very interesting. Go to the store to get what you want to eat, and then find an empty seat on the street to sit down. After eating, just ask the clerk to check out. It is full of trust and very human~

The most famous snack is Jinshan Duck. Of course, there are also superb taro balls. The fried noodles are also surprisingly delicious. I can’t stop eating~

hotel sharing

Caesar Hotel

The hotel is opposite Banqiao Railway Station, the location is very convenient.

We live on a relatively high floor, so we can enjoy a great view of the exterior from the room.

The style of the hotel is relatively young and fashionable. The decoration of the rooms is modern. There is a separate cloakroom, and the bathroom is also very large. Two people can wash at the same time. Overall, it is very comfortable to live in.

In addition, there is a viewing pool on the top floor of the hotel, which is very suitable for taking pictures~

Mandarin Oriental Hotel

No matter how you check in, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel is very beautiful. Since its opening, it has been named the most beautiful hotel in Taipei~

The hotel is decorated in a European palace style. The whole is very grand. If you look closely, you will find it is more refined. Every detail has been treated with surprise~

The presidential suite of the hotel is almost 400 square meters. It is really huge. It feels like walking around the room can save you from exercising~

As soon as you enter the door and pass through the hall, it is the living room of the room. Suites are higher than ordinary rooms, plus they are all decorated in European style, so they are very imposing.

Some hotel care will be found in every corner of the living room. A bouquet of flowers will be placed on the coffee table for the guests, so that the faint fragrance will surround the room; there is also a simple table lamp by the window, which makes the room a little more homely.

The facilities in the room are very complete, and there is an open kitchen.

The dressing table is in the cloakroom, and there is a large dressing mirror inside. I feel like I can experience the royal life here~

Ordinary rooms in the hotel are enough for daily trips, and the space is very spacious, making you feel at home.

There will be a reclining chair by the window of the bedroom, where you can lie down and watch dramas and drink coffee in your free time, and the view outside the window is also very good.

My favorite is the marble bathroom! There is an oversized bathtub, and the cleaning and care provided will cooperate with different brands every month. This time it is diptyque. After work at night, take a hot bath to soothe and relax, and replenish your energy for the next day~

When you check in, the hotel will give you a welcome card, as well as the pineapple cakes and longan cakes from the Wenhua Bakery, which taste amazing~

The top-level room configuration and hotel meals are also very worth looking forward to!

The most popular afternoon tea at Mandarin Oriental, there are often celebrities coming over, so you need to make an appointment in advance. It's a pity that I didn't experience it this time because of the tight schedule.

The breakfast is very rich, both Chinese and Western styles are provided, all of which are self-service, and you can prepare healthy and low-calorie nutritious meals by yourself.

Dinner is served from 5:30 pm to 10 pm every day.

It is worth mentioning that the restaurant's wine list, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages are available in a wide variety, and many of them have won international awards!

The meal is an authentic modern Italian meal, the preparation and presentation are exquisite and stylish~

It’s just right for two people to order four or five dishes plus a dessert. If you don’t have time to go to afternoon tea, you can experience the top level of hotel desserts at dinner~

Taipei travel tips:

●1. You don’t need to change too many Taiwan dollars in advance, the exchange rate changes every day, sometimes it’s not very favorable. When it’s not enough, you only need to exchange it at the ATM machine here if it exceeds 1,000 RMB. Although there is a handling fee, it will be more cost-effective than exchanging in advance.

●2. Taiwan has one visa and two certificates. After getting the pass, you have to swipe the endorsement. You can apply for the Taiwan Entry Permit only if you have the Pass and Endorsement at the same time, and the Taiwan Entry Permit must be printed in color, and you cannot take the electronic version. You can enter Taiwan only when the documents are complete !

●3. It is recommended that you buy a direct flight, because the MRT at the airport only operates until 11 o'clock in the evening. After 11 o'clock, you can only take a taxi to the city. It is not cost-effective, and the transfer is easy to be delayed. What time is it.

●4. After entering Taiwan, it is best to apply for an Easy Card (equivalent to a local transportation card in Taiwan). Basically, every convenience store sells it. A deposit is required, but you can also return it when you return the card before leaving Taiwan. It is much more convenient to have a card to take public transportation.

●5. Finally, I would like to remind everyone that if you can’t find the place name on the map, remember to convert it into traditional Chinese and try again~

In Taiwan, there are still many small and stylish places waiting for us to discover. Although the preparation work is a bit complicated, it is worth it in the end!

Looking forward to the next article, Bangkok Travel Notes~
