There is a beautiful place called Dehong, in the west of Yunnan, the hometown of peacocks, the origin of cucurbit silk, and the city of jewelry. There is a strong ethnic minority style here, as well as the original ecological life, colorful programs and simple people, all of which make me fall in love with this small border town. This is the third time I have come to this city. This time, I feel the charm of Dehong's autumn and the carnival of festivals. Although this is not a popular travel destination, it just avoided the crowds of people during the National Day holiday, allowing me to enjoy a quiet and lively trip that is rare during the holidays.
Dehong, which means "the lower reaches of the Nujiang River" in the Dai language, is located deep in the mountains of western Yunnan and borders the Union of Myanmar. It is also the gathering place of the Dai, Jingpo, Achang, Lisu and De'ang ethnic groups. National festivals such as the Water-Splashing Festival, the Munao Song Festival, and the Aluwoluo Festival will also be held here. There are Wanding on the Yunnan-Burma Highway, Yizhai Liangliang, Liangnandian Xuanfu Department, Menghuan Shwedagon Pagoda, Moli Tropical Rainforest and other scenic spots. In Dehong, the most suitable is to travel by self-driving border. There is no hustle and bustle in Lijiang, nor the commercialization of Zhangjiajie. Travel should return to the essence of travel.

In the evening we went to Lianghe to soak in the hot springs, and the next day we got up and went to Jiubao Ancient Town for a walk. Jiubao Ancient Town used to be the only way through the ancient Silk Road and the Ancient Tea-Horse Road in southwestern Yunnan. Vendors peddled pork and various snacks. In the morning, there were roll noodles, dilute soybean noodles, pancakes, and grilled rice balls. The thick Yunnan Features, reflecting the simple life everywhere. In October, the persimmons and guavas are ripe. On both sides of the old street in Jiubao Ancient Town, bee pupae, walnuts, bamboo shoots, and fungi are all special products of local farmers. What's interesting is that the production of these products is not large, and they don't seem to be in a hurry to sell them. They are patronized by people from the town, and the prices are fair. They really like this kind of vegetable market.
In the golden autumn of October, the Lianghe rice fields are golden yellow, rendering the beautiful autumn of western Yunnan. The ears of rice contain heavy millet. In addition to rice, many rice flower fish are bred in the rice fields. They thrive in the fertile paddy fields and are so large that local farmers release the water for fishing before harvesting the paddy fields. We caught a lot of carp in the field, and we can have a delicious meal at noon, full of joy of harvest.

On the banks of the Daying River, Gesang flowers are blooming, forming a sea of flowers that brightens this season. On holidays, citizens of Yingjiang come here for leisure and entertainment. Surrounded by mountains in Yingjiang in October, the sea of flowers and reeds in the Wetland Park were swaying in the wind. There are many National Day programs in Dehong, the mountain trail cross-country race in Yingjiang, and the Munao Zongge Carnival in Longchuan are large-scale events that everyone can participate in. In the grand carnival held by the Jingpo ethnic group in Dehong and Longchuan, Nao Shuang led the Nao Ba and the dancers to dance the Mu Nao Song, praying for good weather and a good harvest. Longchuan, Dehong is known as the hometown of Munao Zongge. The National Day carnival is naturally the Munao Zongge of the Jingpo ethnic group. The strongest dancers on the surface of the earth, all beauties and handsome men are present, dancing together with the rhythmic Jingpo music , a large-scale national disco scene. This is the most unmissable program in Dehong. It is held every year on the Lantern Festival and National Day. It is very participatory. Friends who want to experience Mu Nao Zongge must come to the Lantern Festival.
In the evening, we watched the Intangible Cultural Heritage Gala in Longchuan, which was very shocking. The gentleness of the Dai people is like water, the strength and might of the Jingpo people, the fire dance of the Achang people, and the performance of sword skills by Xiang Laosai, the king of Husa Dao . Dehong's National Day program is really overwhelming. I participated in the cross-country running in Yingjiang in the morning, and participated in the Mu Nao Song in Longchuan in the afternoon. The Mori Tropical Rainforest Scenic Spot is located on the side of Ruili City in the junction area between Ruili City and Longchuan County, about 5 kilometers northeast of Ruiwan Bridge.
