Beijing has always been on my travel plan. I originally planned to go in winter, but it happened to be a concert, so I took my parents to Beijing for a few days. In the past, when traveling, I always made a very detailed guide, including some scenic spot information, but when I finally arrived at the destination, I always felt that there was a lack of freshness and anticipation, so this time I only made a general guide. .

weather

It may be because I went there as soon as the summer vacation was over. Beijing is not that hot yet. Except for the temperature on the first and last day exceeding 35 degrees, the rest are 278 degrees. Although the temperature is suitable, but because there are many thunderstorms, it is necessary to go out with an umbrella. If you have children, it is best to bring a raincoat. In addition, Beijing is relatively dry, so we must do a good job of replenishing water. Lip balm and moisturizing masks are indispensable.

transportation

It is very convenient to go from Shanghai to Beijing. It takes less than 2 hours by plane, or about 4 hours by high-speed train.

We basically use the subway and bus to travel in Beijing, because Beijing's rail transit is relatively developed, and the subway and bus can go to every scenic spot in the city. But download a "Beijing One Card" app on your mobile phone, you can use it on the subway and bus, or buy a "Beijing One Card" at the subway entrance. Of course, you can also scan the QR code on the subway, but not on the bus, so I think it is very convenient to download the "Beijing Card".

stay

When I travel now, I will always find some unique homestays or inns, but the bathrooms in Beijing homestays are generally not large, so if you mind, it is recommended to stay in a hotel. I changed a total of three places, the first one is near Wukesong Stadium, for the convenience of watching the concert, the second one is in Badaling, so you can get up early to climb the Great Wall, and the third one is near Tiananmen Square, it is convenient for watching the flag-raising ceremony . It is recommended to live near Tiananmen Square, and try to choose near the subway station.

journey

Day1: Shanghai - Beijing - Wangfujing Snack Street

Fly from Shanghai to Beijing, then transfer to the subway and arrive at the scheduled homestay. The specific line to which line to turn to, according to the homestay or hotel you have booked, and then search on Baidu map, there are all. Because the airport is a bit far from the homestay I booked, it was already three or four o'clock when we arrived, so we took a rest, and we set off for Wangfujing Snack Street at five or six o'clock. Every time I go to a place, I always want to go to the snack street or food street there, but after walking so far, I found that the so-called snack street and food street are basically the same routine, and the same is true of Wangfujing snack street, just like other places , that’s all, and when I went there happened to be under construction, so the experience was not good, and I finally found a Chengdu Chuan Chuan shop——I had dinner by the roadside. After eating, I went back home.

Day2: Summer Palace - Old Summer Palace - Nanluoguxiang

Because it is a free exercise, so I slept until I woke up naturally in the morning. It was almost 90 o'clock when I went out. I took the subway and went straight to the Summer Palace. The Summer Palace and the Old Summer Palace are very close, but if you want to have a good time, it is best to divide the two gardens into two days. , we are still a little nervous about the time of the day, of course, it may be that we go out too late in the morning. In addition, tickets for the Summer Palace and the Old Summer Palace can be booked online or purchased on-site. Basically, you can scan the QR code to purchase on-site, so it is quite convenient. In addition, the city of Beijing has a strong historical and cultural heritage, so it is best to ask for an explanation or rent an explanation device for some classic scenic spots, but I personally think that manual explanations are better. However, it should be noted that some travel websites will sell some tickets plus manual explanation services. This manual explanation is actually a group tour at the entrance of the scenic spot. A travel agency guide leads 20 or 30 people. This is actually really boring, so if you want to ask for a manual explanation, you must ask a professional commentator in the scenic spot.

If you bring children, you can visit these two gardens separately, and then you can take your children to visit Peking University and Tsinghua University, which are nearby anyway, but Peking University and Tsinghua University need to be reserved in advance, so if you want to go, make an appointment online in advance.

For dinner, we went to a noodle shop in Nanluoguxiang [Fangzhuchang No. 69 Zhajiang Noodles]. It is said that this is a noodle shop that locals in Beijing will go to. It is in an alley, follow the navigation, and you can turn up. As for the taste, I think it is still good, but my parents think it is a bit bland. The Laba garlic in their house is quite delicious, but after eating it, there is a strong taste in the mouth. If you have time, you can visit Nanluoguxiang, there are snacks, small handicrafts, and clothing... quite petty bourgeoisie.

Day3: Temple of Heaven - Concert

It was another day of waking up naturally. After breakfast, I took the subway to the Temple of Heaven, the royal sacrificial place. If you want to ask for a human explanation, you must enter from the south gate, and entering from the south gate is the best tour route. I didn’t figure it out. So entering from the east gate, you can only rent an audio guide in the end. The Temple of Heaven is also quite big, and it takes three or four hours to take a good tour. There are many ancient trees in the Temple of Heaven, and there are not a few trees that are more than 300 years old.

Because I was going to watch the concert at night, I sent my parents back to the hotel after visiting the Temple of Heaven that day, and I went to the concert. (It’s not that I don’t bring my parents to watch, one is because they are not interested, and the other is that I really can’t get three tickets.)

Day4: Prince Gong's Mansion

Because I was going to the Badaling Great Wall in the afternoon, I contacted the host in the morning to check out, and then went to the subway to Prince Gong’s Mansion. I first went to store my luggage, and then bought tickets on the spot with my mobile phone. It was very convenient. After buying the tickets, I went to the manual explanation window Please guide, and then follow the guide to visit this feng shui treasure, the whole process will take 3 hours. You can also walk around and take pictures by yourself after the explanation. After visiting Prince Kung’s Mansion, we were hungry after passing the restaurant, so we randomly found one nearby, the one at the corner of the corner, it was not delicious, so I don’t recommend it.

After lunch, we are ready to go to Badaling Great Wall. We take subway line 8 to Huoying station, then follow the signs to take line s2, and get off at Badaling station. The last bus seems to be at five o'clock, and the ride time of s2 is about 40 to 50 minutes. . After s2 gets off the bus, the owner of the inn where we stayed will ask the master to pick us up. [Beijing Jiuxianju B&B] Dinner is also eaten at his house. It tastes good. After dinner, go to bed early to prepare for climbing the Great Wall the next day.

In addition to taking the s2, there is also a bus to the Badaling Great Wall in the urban area, but I don't know exactly how to take it. Then there is also a one-day tour to Badaling in Beijing, but because after all, I also go with a group, and the tour guide will have a time limit when climbing the Great Wall, so I didn't choose a one-day tour. And I chose s2 instead of the bus because the route of the s2 train is the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway, and the Juyongguan Great Wall can be seen on the way. On the way back, you will pass the old station "Qinglong Bridge".

If you don't go to the Great Wall, there are Guo Moruo's former residence, Beihai, Song Qingling's former residence, etc. near the Prince Gong's Mansion after visiting, because this is a geomantic treasure.

Day5: Badaling Great Wall

First of all, I would like to remind you that to go to the Badaling Great Wall, you must buy tickets online one to two days in advance (not including the cable car), because the current limit is limited every day, and you may not be able to buy it on the day. In the past few days when I came to Beijing, I got up earlier, because earlier, there will be fewer people. At 7 o'clock, there will be a free shuttle bus three or four hundred meters away from the inn to take you to Dengchengkou of the Great Wall. After arriving, if you choose to climb the city on foot, you can directly swipe your ID card to enter the Great Wall. If you want to take a cable car, there is a cable car ticket window next to it, and you can go to buy a cable car ticket. There are 12 floors on the north side of the Badaling Great Wall, and 7 floors on the south side. The south side is easier to climb than the north side, and there are fewer people. North 8 is the highest point of the Great Wall. The place where the cable car arrives is North 7. The steps in the place are of different heights, and the high ones even reach the upper part of my calf, so it is a bit tiring to climb up. If you bring children and the elderly, you can take the cable car to North 7, and then climb up for a while. If you want to challenge yourself, you can climb from North 1 to North 12. From North 9 to the future, there will be fewer and fewer people. There are also some children and The old man can persist until North 12, relying on perseverance. If you want to go back after climbing the North Great Wall, you can go out as long as you see the lower city passage on the way back, or go to North 7 and take the cable car down. If you have climbed the North Great Wall and want to climb South For the Great Wall, you must return to North 1 by the same route, and you cannot go to the lower city passage. Our family climbed the North Great Wall and the South Great Wall by 3:00 p.m. and rested along the way, so it took a long time. After the Great Wall came down, we went back to the inn to rest, and the two legs didn't seem to be our own. (Reminder, be sure to prepare water, the previous bottle is almost finished, and you must prepare a bottle when you see the store.)

If you just want to experience climbing the Great Wall and come down after climbing for a while, you can also go to Badaling Wildlife Park and Ming Tombs for a walk.

Day6: Bird's Nest, Water Cube

Because I was really tired the day before, I was basically resting this morning, and then took the s2 back to the city at noon, and arrived at my homestay near Tiananmen to tidy up my things. In the evening, I took the subway to the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube, because the water The inside of the cube is still under maintenance. Anyway, it is not open. There was a light show in the Bird's Nest, but we were not very interested, so we didn't go in, so we went back early after watching it outside for a while. Because I have to get up early the next day.

Day7: Watch the flag raising - the Forbidden City

"Thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump' was dragged by me until the end of the first stop of many people coming to Beijing. The first is to raise the flag. The time for raising the flag is different every day. I checked that it is basically around 4:50 during the summer vacation. Although the flag-raising doesn’t start until after four o’clock, if you want to get a good seat, you must arrive at the security checkpoint at 2 o’clock (you need an ID card to pass the security check, so you must bring your ID card) so that’s why you need to find one near Tiananmen Square Reason for accommodation. We got up at 1:00 and arrived at the security checkpoint a little after 2:00, but there were already 40 or 50 people in front (there are more security checkpoints, if you want to see the guard of honor of the three armed forces come out, you can choose the security check by the Jinshui Bridge mouth), after the security check begins, there is still a distance from the place where the flag is raised, so use your sprint speed, more than one is one, so that you can grab the first row, of course the first row is not As close as you imagine, you are still a little far away from this flagpole, but at least no one is blocking you in a row, and the people behind are basically looking at people's heads. From queuing to raising the flag, the only thing to do is to wait!

After watching the flag raising, you can wait for the Forbidden City to open in front of the Tiananmen Gate. Note that the tickets for the Forbidden City must be bought online three or four days in advance. I bought the ticket on the official website of the Forbidden City. I don’t need to pick up the ticket. I just swipe my ID card to enter the park. Also, the Forbidden City is closed on Monday, so you must be optimistic about the date when you travel. The Forbidden City opens at 8:30, why wait, because the manual explanation of the Forbidden City is still very popular, late, you may have to wait for more than 2 hours, the manual explanation of the Forbidden City is charged according to the route, I chose the most classic " Central Axis—West Sixth Palace—Treasure Hall" (The Treasure Hall needs to buy tickets separately, and you can also buy them together when you buy the tickets. If you don't buy them, you can buy them on the spot quickly.) This route is 350 yuan, more than 5 people It seems that it will add 20 yuan per person. The whole process takes nearly 3 hours. The lecturers of the Forbidden City are very professional, you can ask any questions at any time, and they can basically answer them for you. After the explanation, if you still want to visit the East Sixth Palace or take pictures, you can go out of Shenwumen slowly and walk around the Forbidden City by yourself.

If you don’t want to hire a human guide in the Forbidden City, you can go to the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall after watching the flag-raising ceremony. (The Chairman Mao Memorial Hall is only open in the morning). Anyway, it’s directly opposite the Tianmen. If you go to the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, you have to save everything. , the bag depository is next to the Zhengyang Gate on the opposite side.

We stayed in the Forbidden City until after 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and then went back to the inn to rest. After all, we got up after 1 o'clock in the morning, and then went to the nearby Quanjude to eat roast duck in the evening.

Day8: Chairman Mao Memorial Hall - Lama Temple

This is the last day. I went to the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall at 9 o’clock in the morning. I queued for 2 hours and paid my respects for 5 minutes. If you were earlier, there might be fewer people. Then I took the subway to the Lama Temple. When I arrived, I went to a very popular restaurant nearby. Lunch at the restaurant [Seven Find Eight Find Hutong Cuisine] The location of this store really fits the name of his store. Obviously the navigation shows that he has arrived, but you just can’t see where he is, and then you notice that there is a man wearing a red T-shirt next to him. The uncle who bought the T-shirt, the T-shirt said "Search and Find", and he saw this shop in the alley under his guidance. The shop is small, but the business is still good, we waited for half an hour. The taste of this store is also good. After eating, I bought a ticket to enter the Lama Temple. The Lama Temple was converted into a Buddhist holy place during the Qianlong period. It has been full of incense every day. There is a free incense place in the garden, so there is no need to bring incense.

It is estimated that children are not very interested in this day's itinerary, so if you bring children, you can go to the Beijing Science and Technology Museum, which is also a good place.

Day9: Beijing - Shanghai

go home early in the morning
