I became a "lone ranger" during the National Day last year, driving alone on the prairie in northern Beijing, and experienced the wildness of the sky, the pleasing scenery, and the magic like a dream. As a senior traveling friend, I have a habit that I think is good, that is, to make detailed plans before departure, to make detailed records at any time during the trip, and to write my own travel notes after I come back. In fact, I wrote the travel notes after I came back last year, but I forgot to post them on Ctrip when I was busy with work. A few days ago, a travel friend asked me and I remembered it. .
(The majestic Qingyuan Tower looks proudly at the ancient city of Xuanhua)
(City Gate of the Central Capital of the Yuan Dynasty)
My self-driving plan this time is to go to Xuanhua Ancient City and Huitengxile Grassland on the first day; go to the Yuanzhongdu Site in Zhangbei on the second day and participate in tree planting activities, and then go to Keshigten Banner after the event; visit Huanggangliang on the third day Forest Park, Ashhatu Stone Forest, Sandy Spruce, Qingshan Shijiu Group; on the fourth day, visit Dalinuoer Lake, Gongger Grassland, and go to Ulan Butong; on the fifth day, visit Huamugou, Hamaba, Wucai Mountain , Hongshan Army Horse Farm; on the sixth day, continue to visit Ulan Butong Grassland in the morning, and go to Ongniud Banner to visit Yulongsha Lake in the afternoon; on the seventh day, go to Chifeng Museum in the morning, and then drive back to Beijing. But when I was going to the Ulan Butong Grassland after visiting Keqi, I learned that Ulan Butong was overcrowded with tourists, and the G303 and G306 national roads to Ongniud Banner were all under construction, so I revised the plan and turned to the west. Went to Xilin Gol. Now share this travel record with donkey friends, hoping to be helpful to everyone.
The first day of the Lone Ranger in the Grassland (October 1): Sunny, Xuanhua Ancient City, Huitengxile Grassland, Ulanqab City, accommodation: Jining District, Ulanqab City. 501 kilometers traveled on the day
Depart from Yanqing Gelan Shanshui's home at 8:00 in the morning, and the odometer is reset. Enter the G7 Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway in Yanqing North, and then turn to the G6 Beijing-Tibet Expressway. During festivals, the section of the G6 expressway out of Beijing has always been heavily congested. Fortunately, I moved to Yanqing early yesterday and avoided this congested section. However, in the two-kilometer section before the branch of the G6 Expressway and the Xuanda Expressway, three rear-end accidents occurred in a row, one of which was a four-vehicle rear-end collision caused by a large truck. Fortunately, the traffic jam was less than three kilometers. Ten minutes passed.
(Safety is paramount for self-driving on holidays. Once an accident occurs, it will be a mistake!)
Arrive at Xuanhua Ancient City at 9:30, stop at the west side of Qingyuan Building, the side road next to Xuanhua Hospital, about 300 meters away from Qingyuan Building, and the odometer mileage is 107 kilometers. The ancient city of Xuanhua really lives up to its name. There are 11 national-level cultural relics protection units in a tiny place. I saw the Qingyuan Tower known as the "Second Yellow Crane Tower" all morning, as well as Zhenshuo Tower, Baoen Temple Hall, Chaha The site of the Seoul Democratic Government (Xuanhua Museum) and other five places, also visited the Xuanhua Nine Dragon Wall, the Catholic Church, the Temple of Wealth and other historical sites in turn. The overall feeling is that Xuanhua has a strong sense of history, and its management and service are poor. There are two things that I feel very bad about. One is that there are no trash cans along the street. After I got out of the car, I was holding some used paper towels and other sundries in my hand. After walking 300 or 400 meters, I couldn’t find a trash can. There is a courtyard in the southwest of Qingyuan Building. Xuanhua District Environmental Sanitation Management Office” sign. I asked the person in the reception room where there are trash cans nearby, and the answer was “I don’t know.” I asked if you could report to your leader the problem of the lack of trash cans in Xuanhua, and the answer was yes "I am the janitor, you go directly to the leader", I asked where the leader was, and replied, "Today is the National Day and the leader is not in the office." The second is that the cultural relics protection units in Xuanhua have to close for two and a half hours at noon. When I came out of the Xuanhua Museum, it was 11:27. At this time, a parent brought a child who was in elementary school to visit, and the staff just wouldn’t let the child in. , informed that the venue will be cleared at 11:30, and the lunch break will be between 12:00 and 14:00. Afterwards, I arrived at Qingyuan Tower about ten minutes before 12 o’clock. I thought that the tower is not big anyway, and the content is limited, so 10 minutes is enough, so I bought a ticket for ten yuan to go upstairs. Remind to come down before 12 o'clock. After coming down from the city tower, I inquired about it by the way, and told that all the scenic spots in Xuanhua District were like this, and they had to rest at noon. We originally wanted to visit Daxinmen, the ancient city gate of Xuanhua, and the tombs of the Liao Dynasty in Xuanhua, especially to see the exquisite and clear murals in the tombs of the Liao Dynasty with our own eyes. Stop by and visit these places. As a famous historical and cultural city, Xuanhua is a bit bad.
(Zhenshuo Tower and Qingyuan Tower are hundreds of steps away from each other, and you can see Qingyuan Tower in the distance from the door opening)
(The Nine Dragon Wall of Xuanhua Ancient City is also a historic site)
(The ancient city of Xuanhua used to be a large provincial city in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was the residence of the governor of Xuanda. It has a long history and culture. The Xuanhua Museum has a rich collection, especially the murals of the Liao Tomb, and the museum itself is also a national key cultural relic protection unit - the original Chahar former site of the democratic government)
(Baoen Temple in the ancient city of Xuanhua, which is also a national key cultural relics protection unit)
Return to the bus at 11:45, or go back to the original road and get on G6 from Xuanhua North Toll Station. Arrive at Zhangjiakou Service Area at 12:30, have lunch, rest, and the odometer is 143 kilometers.
Depart at 13:07, get off at G6 at Zhuozishan toll station at 15:09, and the odometer shows 344 kilometers. At 15:33 Huanghuagou toll station on S209, the odometer shows 360.9 kilometers. Arrive at Huitengxile Grassland Pearl Resort at 16:03. The odometer counts 384 kilometers. In the past few years, many resorts have been built on the grasslands of Inner Mongolia, but most of them are only open in summer and closed after autumn. The same is true for this resort.
Arrive at Huitengxile Huanghuagou Scenic Area at 16:30, with 392 kilometers on the odometer. This is a winding valley located at the western end of the Huitengxile Grassland, with a length of more than 10 kilometers and a ditch about 300 meters deep. The environment and climate here are unique, with an average summer temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, a vegetation coverage rate of over 90%, and dozens of flowers. When making plans before the trip, I couldn't find out how much the ticket price of the scenic spot was on several travel websites. Only the ant nest clearly stated that it was 45 yuan. But from the comments of travel friends, it can be concluded that you can’t just buy tickets, you must buy package tickets with prices ranging from 100 to 200 yuan, and different prices include different contents. But it doesn't matter, I mainly look at the natural scenery, and I don't need to spend money to enter the scenic spot to enjoy those recreational facilities. Standing on the slope cliff on the south side of the entrance of the scenic spot, and looking through the binoculars, you can clearly see the scenery in the ditch below and the clusters of yellow trees and reddish-brown rocks on the opposite cliff. On the northeast side of the scenic spot, there is a large group of stone mortars with jagged rocks. Vehicles can drive directly to the halfway up the mountain, climb the top of the stone mortars at the highest point, and have a panoramic view of the large yurts on the north and the forest-like windmills on the south.
(Panoramic shooting of Huitengxile Huanghuagou scenic spot, yurts and stone mortar groups)
Get on the bus at 17:00, drive north along S209, and enjoy the sunset scenery of Huitengxile grassland along the way. At 17:33, I arrived at Dadonggou Village on the north side of the grassland. The odometer read 405 kilometers, and the vehicle turned around and returned to the original road.
At 18:14 Sancha toll station on the G7 Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway, the odometer shows 435 kilometers. Transfer to G55 Erguang Expressway, then transfer to G6 Beijing-Tibet Expressway, get off at the Jining Toll Station at 18:50, and the odometer shows 496 kilometers.
This time it was a self-driving tour by myself. I often go and see where I go. I just look at the places I like, and I don’t like the sights. I turned around and left. So although I checked the situation of each scenic spot in detail before the trip, I calculated the time based on the mileage and made a plan, but it is only for reference and can be adjusted at any time according to the situation of the scenic spot. Before departure, I checked on Ctrip. Most of the hotels during the National Day period need to be paid in advance and cannot be canceled. Considering that the itinerary may be adjusted, I did not book hotels online in advance. What I do is, when I arrive at the town where I plan to rest, I use my mobile phone to check the location, cost and reviews of the nearby hotels and hotels online, and then check in. Anyway, I believe that this trip is not a major tourist hotspot, and it will not be so difficult to find hotel accommodation. After driving around the city, I arrived at Jinjiang Inn opposite Jining No. 1 Middle School at 19:20, with 501 kilometers on the odometer. From the Ctrip APP, there is no room, but after asking the front desk and informing me of my gold card membership status, the front desk gave me the last double bed room reserved for me, and the price was 158 yuan. Dinner in a nearby restaurant, self-service hot pot, 40 yuan/person, the content is very rich, including drinks and fruits. Back to hotel to sleep after dinner.
The second day of Grassland Lone Ranger (October 2): Overcast, visit Yuan Zhongdu Ruins, Zhongdu Grassland, and plant trees in Zhangbei. Place: Sanggendalai Town, Zhenglan Banner, Xilin Gol League. 438 kilometers traveled on the day
Get up at 5:50, boil water, make tea, clean up, and close the room. We drove off at 6:30. It rained lightly in the middle of the night last night, and the air was very fresh in the morning.
(Opposite the hotel is Jining No. 1 Middle School, a key middle school in Inner Mongolia, with a grand gate)
According to the plan, today I will participate in the celebration of the "Entering the Sublime Advance Mission" greening volunteers breaking through 10,000 people, and plant trees in Zhangbei. The celebration will be held at Wanjiaxiang Farm in Mantouying Township, Zhangbei County at 10:30 in the morning. I still have some time to visit the local scenic spots in the morning. I will first use the mobile phone navigation to determine the first destination today in Zhangbei Yuanzhongdu Ruins Park in the county. At 6:37, I got on the G6 Beijing-Tibet Expressway at the Jining toll station, and the odometer showed 504 kilometers. Turn to S24 Xingba Expressway, get off at the Tuanjie Toll Station, and the odometer shows 573 kilometers. Turn into County Highway 547 and Provincial Highway 341 in turn, pass Shangyi County at 7:40, and the odometer shows 587 kilometers. Then turn to County Road 401 and Provincial Road 344 according to the instructions of the mobile phone navigation, and enter Provincial Road 245 at 8:40, and the odometer is 661 kilometers. At 9:08, I arrived at the location of the "Yuanzhongdu Archaeological Site" indicated by Gaode's navigation - in front of an iron fence, but the gate was locked, and the sign on the gate said "Idlers are not allowed to enter the National Preservation Site". Looking into the distance with binoculars, you can see the ancient-style walls made of rammed earth and several temporary work sheds in the distance. It turned out that Gaode's navigation positioning was wrong.
Turning around the wall for about 2.7 kilometers, I saw the signpost of "Yuanzhongdu Archaeological Site Park" on the side of the road. I arrived at the parking lot of the scenic spot at 9:25, and the odometer read 670 kilometers. Tickets for the Heritage Park are 40 yuan. After I show the Splendid Jiangshan Travel Annual Card, I can enter for free after registration.
(The foundation of the main hall at the Yuanzhongdu site)
(The scenic spot added wooden boards to the original rammed earth road, which not only protects the cultural relics, but also facilitates tourists)
(This is the plinth of the main hall thousands of years ago, and it has been sealed with a glass cover now)
As a tourist attraction, the Yuanzhongdu site is not well-known, and there is no specific introduction about the attraction on Ctrip, but in history, this is an important cultural relic. The Yuanzhongdu site is located in Baichengzi Village, Mantouying Township, Zhangbei County, Hebei Province. It is one of the four capitals of the Mongolian and Yuan Dynasties. Shangdu. Yuan Zhongdu was first built in the 11th year of Yuan Dade (1307). The builder was Yuan Wuzong Haishan, the grandson of Yuan Shizu Kublai Khan. It was burned down by the Red Turban Army in the 18th year of Yuan Zhizheng (1358). Yuanzhong is the most well-preserved Yuan Dynasty capital site in China so far, with a relatively single era and the least damage in the later period. In the central capital of the Yuan Dynasty, there were triple city walls of Miyagi, Imperial City, and Guocheng, which were set in the shape of "Hui". At present, four representative historical relics can be clearly seen. One is the imperial road and the south gate site of Miyagi, which is the place where the stele of the national key cultural relics protection unit stands. There are three gates in the south gate, and the straight imperial road passes through the middle gate. The emperor of the Yuan Dynasty walked through it. There is a slope on the west side of the city wall inside the city gate, which is the horse path used to ride horses on the city wall; the second is the remains of the platform of the central hall, which is a two-story "I"-shaped building with a length of 101 meters from north to south. It is 50 meters wide from east to west, and there are sloping footpaths in four directions leading to the four city gates in the east, west, north, south, and north of the palace. A large glass cover can be seen on the ground, through which the preserved original white marble pillars can be clearly seen; the third is the ruins of the southwest corner building of Miyagi, and now only the building remains of the southwest corner building. The rammed earth of the foundation, the cultural relics department built a high platform with city bricks to protect the rammed earth pile tightly. A thick glass floor is laid on the upper floor of the brick platform, through which visitors can clearly see the real situation of the rammed earth below. In the city wall between the turret and the south gate, there is a cave gate built with three large stone slabs on the left and right. This is the water gate of that year; Miyagi city walls, standing on the platform of the central hall, or standing on the southwest corner building, you can clearly see this circle of ancient city walls with a telescope.
(The rammed earth wall in Yuanzhongdu stretches for several kilometers on all sides)
The Yuanzhongdu site was rated as one of the "Top Ten National Archaeological New Discoveries in 1999", and was listed as a "National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit" in 2001. In 2006, the Yuanzhongdu site and the Yuanshangdu site were listed together. "China's application for the tentative list of world cultural heritage". It is a pity that in 2012, Yuanshang was included in the "World Heritage List", but Yuanzhong was not selected. Approved by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage in 2013, Zhangbei County started the construction of the "Yuanzhongdu National Archaeological Site Park" project. The planned construction land of the project is 13,485 mu, with a total investment of 360 million yuan. According to the plan, eight landscapes will be developed in the ruins park, including "Palace of Wind and Cloud", "Empire Rose" and "City Head General", which are still under construction. In the archaeological work over the years, a large number of stone, pottery, iron, wood and jade carvings, brick carvings and copper, iron and bone tools have been unearthed. Among them, the carving of the chi head at the corner of the white marble is extremely skillful, which can be called the best carving of the Yuan Dynasty. In particular, the brick statue eye on the south side of the east trail of the front hall is a rare treasure. Zhangbei County also built the "Yuan Zhongdu Museum" in the county seat to collect and display these cultural relics. Unfortunately, time is limited this time, so I didn't visit the county seat. But I also don't understand, since it is an exclusive museum, why not build it in the ruins but in the county?
After visiting the Yuanzhongdu site for 50 minutes, we left at 10:16. At 10:27, we arrived at the scheduled gathering place for tree planting——Wanjiaxiang Farm, Mantouying Township, Zhangbei County, with an odometer of 676 kilometers. When I arrived, there was only one self-driving car at the assembly point, and I was the second one.
There are quite a lot of people participating in today's event. The non-driving group members departed from Beijing by three buses, and there were more than a dozen self-driving group members from Beijing. In advance, the group members created a WeChat group. I saw in the group that Xiami is gone. They are still in the Huayuan Service Area of the G6 Expressway. If there is no traffic jam, it will take another one and a half hours to travel from there. There were only two cars that arrived on time, one was the old couple who lived in Zhangbei County last night, and the other was me who lived in Ulanqab City last night. It seems that the expressway to and from Beijing during the National Day The congestion is really serious.
The question that needs to be considered now is how to spend the next hour and a half at least? I looked at the fuel gauge and decided to refuel first, and then go to the well-known Zhongdu Grassland, which is less than ten kilometers away from the meeting place.
Arrived at Zhongdu Primitive Grassland Resort at 11:25, with 707 kilometers on the odometer. There are many tourists in the scenic spot, which is a typical grassland amusement spot. The recreational items include horseback riding, camel riding, sand buggy driving, and small delta-wing aircraft. I didn't get close, I watched it with a telescope from a distance, and took pictures as souvenirs. Return to Wanjiaxiang Farm at 12:05, the odometer shows 716 kilometers.
(In Zhangbei in autumn, golden yellow is the main color)
After waiting for more than an hour, all three carts arrived at 13:30, and the celebration began. "Entering the Sublime Advance Mission" is a public welfare greening organization initiated by Professor Liao Lichun, a member of the Beijing Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference and the fifth capital moral model, in 2011. Since May 21, 2011, there have been 270 batches of volunteers, more than 10,000 people He went to Hunshandake Greening Base and Zhangbei Greening Base successively for tree planting and greening activities. At today's celebration, veteran generals, old professors, and young people born in the 1990s came to the stage to share their tree planting experience and spiritual feelings. Local township leaders also came to express their congratulations. At 14:30, the celebration ceremony ended and the group members had lunch together. Set off at 16:10, arrive at the tree planting site at 16:30, and the odometer is 721 kilometers. This time I was incorporated into the 271st Regiment, and the trees I planted were numbered 271-3-2. The tree planting activities of the Sublime Pioneer Group are real tree planting. Regardless of age or position, you have to dig holes, put in saplings, fill in soil, and water. Unlike many show activities, someone dug a hole in advance, put the saplings in place, the leader came to fill in some shovel soil, and the reporter took a few photos to finish the job. We first need to use a shovel to dig a hole about 80 cm in length, width and depth, then move the sylvestris sylvestris saplings from the car into the hole, and then ask other group members to help straighten the saplings, fill and cultivate the soil, and finally use Use special scissors for pruning, cut off excess branches, and only keep two layers of branches. This is the second time I have participated in the greening activity of "Entering the Sublime Advance Mission". The first time I participated was the 239th regiment on June 25 this year. There are four members of the 239th regiment participating in today's event. After planting trees, we We visited the saplings planted when we joined the 239th regiment. The number of the tree I planted that time was 239-4-1. Now it is growing well, and the saplings planted by other members of the group are thriving. Take a photo in front of the tree, and then send it to the WeChat group of 239 group members.
(This is the second sylvestris pine planted in Zhangbei in 2017, making its own contribution to the green water and green mountains)
Due to time constraints, this tree planting activity was much less than the first time. There was no arrangement to go to the nursery to prune the saplings, and the work of watering the saplings was also done by local farmers. At 17:45, the tree planting activity ended, and everyone took a group photo together. Then I drove to Hexigten Banner.
At 18:19 Haojiaying toll gate on S10 Zhangshi Expressway, the odometer reads 740 kilometers. At 18:46, transfer to S27 Xizhang Expressway, and the odometer shows 786 kilometers. Arrived at Yantaiying service area at 18:57, and the odometer showed 803 kilometers. While resting, he calculated the distance.
According to my original plan, today's tree planting activities can end before 4:00 pm, and then I can drive leisurely to Jingpeng Town, Qifu, Heshigten Banner, 420 kilometers away. Now it seems that the plan needs to be adjusted, and today must be a late night. I checked the map and decided to stay in Sangendalai Town, Zhenglan Banner, Xilin Gol League. At 20:04, get off the expressway at the Sangendalai toll station, and the odometer shows 933 kilometers. Arrive at Sangendalai Town at 20:20, the odometer shows 939 kilometers. Stay in Huixin Business Hotel, standard room, offer 268 yuan, talk about 180 yuan. Although this is just a small town and not a tourist attraction, it is the most expensive hotel I stayed in during this trip. Of course, there are not many hotels to choose from in this kind of place. This hotel has a good location, only 5 or 600 meters away from the inter-provincial highway. There are many foreign cars parked in front of the hotel, including Beijing, Hebei, and Henan. The rooms of the hotel are relatively large, the internal facilities are quite satisfactory, and there is WIFI. There is nothing to hang out in the town, and there are no restaurants, and a simple dinner of instant noodles is served in the room. I wanted to take a shower, but the room temperature was too low and the heater was not turned on. I was afraid of catching a cold, so I gave up the idea. I made a WeChat video report with my family and went to bed early.
(to be continued)
