When I came to Mengzi City, Yunnan, I realized that there is also a South Lake here, and this South Lake is also very historical.
From Nanning to Yunnan by car, I used to pass through Mengzi City, Honghe Prefecture directly. This time, since I took Honghe Prefecture and Fuxian Lake as the in-depth tour, of course I made a strategy. Mengzi City has Southwest United Mengzi From the branch school and the former site of Mengzi Customs, Bisezhai Railway Station, and Changqiaohai National Wetland Park, there are still things to see.
On the morning of the second day of the Lunar New Year, we drove to Nanhu Park, because the Mengzi branch of Southwest Associated University and the old site of Mengzi Customs are near Nanhu, but I didn’t expect that it was actually beside Nanhu, but the roads beside Nanhu are very narrow. There was no way to park at all, so we walked around South Lake to park. After putting the car away, we crossed the road of Nanhu Lake, so we went for a walk in Nanhu Park. The greenery here is very good, and several of the kapok trees are full of flowers, which are bright red and very eye-catching.
The sky in Yunnan is really blue, and the sky in Nanhu Lake is even bluer. Nanhu Lake is known as the best tourist spot in Mengzi, and it is also a paradise in the city, where the blue waves are rippling and the scenery is pleasant. This South Lake was built in the Ming Dynasty. There are "Penglai Three Islands" in the lake, and the islands are connected by nine curved bridges and arch bridges. There are some Western European-style buildings on the island and by the South Lake, which are witnesses to the history of Mengzi. It is said that when the famous actor Huang Xuan went to Mengzi to shoot "Youth", he went boating in Nanhu Park on the first day.
The cultural heritage here is profound. The Mengzi branch of Southwest Associated University and the former site of Mengzi Customs are here. Walking along the South Lake, it seems that you will see the teachers and students of Southwest Associated University walking and talking by the lake during the Anti-Japanese War. The spirit of not giving up and persisting in learning in troubled times inspires us to cherish the beautiful life now.

The main building in Nanhu Park is the majestic Yingzhou Pavilion. Yingzhou Pavilion was built in the Gengwu Year of Qianlong, and was destroyed by wars in the Qing Dynasty. It was rebuilt several times and is still well preserved.
