Trains and windmills travel in the clouds, and grass and flowers go to the end of the world.

Why do tourists come here? Green mountains and green waters are my home.

Ulanqabcha Right Middle Banner Huitengxile Grassland Night

On August 13, 2019, we stayed at Ulan Hada Volcano for an afternoon. In the evening, we arrived at Mawan Village, Phaeton Grassland, which is the resort listed on the Internet. The densely packed yurts here are all for tourists. The yurt is just an appearance, and the building is made of modern industrial materials, with simple toilets and showers. The yurts are relatively simple, so don’t expect too much even from the luxurious yurts listed on the Internet. Because the herdsmen themselves do not live here for a long time, and they will leave here and return to their villages as soon as August is over. This is just a temporary place for carnival in just three months.

Because the herdsmen themselves do not live here for a long time, and they will leave here and return to their villages as soon as August is over. This is just a temporary place for carnival in just three months.

After dinner, we asked where there was a bonfire. The boss said that you can just stroll around, anyone who has it can go in and play. Some people in the village have already prepared materials for the bonfire, which will start at nine o'clock. There is also a bonfire party facility in the boss's yard, but it seems that it is not the boss's turn tonight. "

As soon as nine o'clock passed, the sky became bright one after another, and fireworks bloomed in the night sky.

It's cold, and it's still cold when you put on a coat, but what is cold? Can't resist the temptation of the novelty of the outside world. We climbed to the roof of the Qingyuan Villa next door. This should be the highest point in the village. You can look around the fireworks, far and near, and have a panoramic view. There are night planes flying by in the sky from time to time. Inner Mongolia has a vast land and abundant resources, and the flights are quite busy.

It's cold, and you can watch the fireworks by hiding in a tent on the roof, but the feeling and atmosphere are very different~

Isn't it interesting that the reflection on the glass of the big yurt blends with the night outside?

The scene of the bonfire party was lively and noisy. Fireworks bloomed above the head from time to time, and dust fell like a light rain. Too dirty and noisy, I want to go back, but the child happily refuses. The scene of the bonfire party was lively and noisy. It's almost twelve o'clock, but the fireworks are still rising and falling, and they are more and more exciting than each other. It's endless, and it's so noisy that people can't sleep. The child said it was really like Chinese New Year! Yes, a new type of prairie nightlife is actually just for tourists to relax and vent in a fresh way. In the bustling city, there is no place where you can shout, shake, and set off fireworks!

In the early morning, on the quiet grassland, the carnival tourists are still sleeping soundly. After breakfast, they will abandon the carnival of last night and drive their separate ways. The herdsmen will also leave here at the end of August to settle down in the villages. The houses there are no longer yurts, and are almost the same as Han-style brick houses. Here, it is the bustling three months of June, July, and August, and the rest is empty, quiet and desolate for nine months... During these passionate three months, the herdsmen are busy and singing for the tourists, Of course, these services are also expensive. Suddenly, the herdsmen are like cicadas who live in the underground for three years and sing on the trees for three months... Thinking about it again, why don't we live like cicadas?

Huanghuagou Scenic Area

After a very simple breakfast on the morning of the 14th, we left the village and set out for Huanghuagou. After a very simple breakfast, we left the village and set out for Huanghuagou.

Huanghuagou is a winding valley located at the west end of Huitengxile Grassland. This valley is the remains of ancient glaciers, formed by the twisting and breaking of the surface during the movement of the earth's crust. The valley is more than 10 kilometers long, the ditch is about 300 meters deep and 100-200 meters wide. The stones on the mountains are not like the "earth and rocks" on other mountains at all, but are all exposed, round and simple, mottled, with vertical and horizontal textures, old-fashioned and vigorous.

Many emperors have left relics in Huanghuagou in history, the earliest can be traced back to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, followed by the founding emperor Tuobagui of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Emperor Taizong Wokuotai, the third son of Genghis Khan, and Emperor Kangxi, the emperor Taizu of the Qing Dynasty.

Huanghuagou Aobao, which means "Shaerqiqige Aobao" in Mongolian and Aobao full of yellow flowers in Chinese, is the largest Aobao in Chahar Right Middle Banner. This Aobao was built at the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty and has a history of 600 years. Now the eminent monk guarding Aobao is Lama Jiamuyangjinba.

In fact, the camel does not have such great strength to pull the two carriages. The camel is just a shape, which makes tourists feel fresh and fun. The main power is the electric motor. However, the idea of the scenic spot is also quite good, which not only satisfies tourists, but also treats animals kindly.

The cable car in Huanghuagou is relatively gentle. If you have strength, you can climb to the top of the mountain along the cable car line. However, the scenery on the cable car is different. Grasslands, forests, windmills, and when you look down, you can see the marmots coming out of the holes. You straighten up and look around...

What I saw on the cable car seemed to be this little guy, standing on his legs, looking around with his little head... (picture from Inner Mongolia Museum)

Primitive birch forests, half-hanging strange willows, mountain springs gushing among boulders, flowing endlessly for thousands of years...

There is the ancient Great Wall here. It is said that Wo Kuotai built an arsenal here, commanded a general platform, and went south with his whip to compete in the Central Plains.

During the trip to Huanghuagou, what surprised us the most was the little grassland train. The grassland here is so green that it touches the clouds and stretches to the horizon. The windmill is slowly turning between the sea of flowers and clouds, and a leisurely train is slowly coming from the sea of flowers and clouds in the sky. It is the train in fairy tales! In fact, there is such a clean and pure world deep in every heart, a little train driving in the sky and clouds!

Clouds walk in the sea of flowers, cars drive in the clouds. We are leaving Huanghuagou at four o'clock. The next stop is Hohhot.
