The open grassland stretches as far as the eye can see, cattle and sheep are seen in the wind blowing grassland, taking advantage of the direction of the wind, running all over the sky, blowing away the troubles in the heart. The green paved by nature is like a thick and colorful oil painting, completely stretching before my eyes.

As the sun sets, the vigorous figure of the shepherd returns slowly. Here, I fantasize that I am Genghis Khan, the unrivaled hero of Manchuria back then, bending his bow and shooting big eagles, what a magnificent momentum. Riding a horse on the flat grassland, exploring the unknown in the mysterious picture scroll, let the time soak the soul, and let the soul walk against the wind.

"White clouds float in the blue sky, and horses run under the white clouds" I remember a song that sang like this. At that time, I was thinking about the joy of riding a horse on the prairie. This trip finally saw the broad-mindedness of the prairie. and infinite tolerance. Accompanied by 5 colleagues and girlfriends, two sisters drove us from Xi'an to Xilin Gol in Inner Mongolia.

Here I come, dear prairie.

We are going to live in Xilinhot, which is not far from the prairie, and we booked a homestay in advance before we came.

The boss is very kind and amiable. He took the initiative to help us with our luggage and showed us around the inside and outside of the homestay. It happened that we wanted to go to the supermarket to buy snacks and asked the boss, but since we are road idiots, we couldn't understand where the boss said where the east, west, and northwest were (raise your hands if you are also a road idiot). Fortunately, she took us to a supermarket and told us not to eat too many snacks, which are unhealthy and fattening. The boss is like a confidant elder sister. In the days away from my mother, her exhortations made me feel very kind.

The whole room is decorated with a very artistic atmosphere. The stream-of-consciousness paintings are hung on the wall, and there are purple bouquets in the corner. It is lazy and full of petty bourgeois sentiment. In such an environment, I want to have a cup of coffee and sit on the sofa read a book.

Day1: Hands-on meat street

Because Xilin Gol League is mainly based on animal husbandry, beef and mutton are inseparable from meals. Eating meat in big bowls and drinking in big mouthfuls is extremely enjoyable. As soon as we arrived in Xilinhot City, we went to the "Handle Meat Street" in the city. A few of us walked there for a while, looking at the delicious food, smelling the delicious food, drooling, eager to buy this and that. .

The food of a city is the fireworks of a city. It is an unforgettable melody that lingers on the tongue and sinks in the song. This rhythm is immersed in the memory and lingers in the stomach for a long time.

The mutton in the big pot was stewed, with a few coriander leaves scattered on it. Before it was out of the pot, there was a strong smell of meat, which made people think about it and wished to drink the soup. A few of us ate this pot of meat, three times, five times, and two, and we ate it up in a while. After eating, Xiao Tang said with his mouth that he would order another pot. It was so delicious (embarrassing), he could What a real foodie.

The milk tea in Inner Mongolia is different from the common milk tea. It is fried and has two flavors: sweet and salty. It tastes more milky than the milk we usually drink.

Day2: Xilin Gol Prairie

The boundless grassland is like a large piece of satin falling from the sky, so pure green, so thrilling and shocking. Looking around, all eyes are green, unobstructed, and there is no visual focus, but there is a feeling of emptiness. This still green sea makes people flustered and at a loss.

Overlooking the grassland from a height, it is a dark green ocean. When a gust of wind blows, countless grasses shake their postures, as if thousands of troops and horses are under the inspection of a general, and the momentum is spectacular. And the sky is like a crystal clear diamond, wrapping the grassland one by one. The green grass enjoys the loving caress of the sun, and each blade of grass seems to be inlaid with a golden border. Suddenly, the melodious sound of the reed pipe fluttered from the center of the grassland to all directions, presumably it was the return of the shepherd. After a while, I saw smoke rising from the houses in the distance.

Xilin Gol has green grasslands and semi-desert grasslands. This is part of it. Jeeps are more resilient and wear-resistant when walking in the desert. We drove behind and followed. In the desert, it is easy to get lost without a guide. .

Looking up at the grass from a low place is completely different. The towering green grass has no end in sight, like a green carpet spreading to the sky, like welcoming a distinguished guest from the sky. The clouds in the sky became the veil of the prairie, white and blue, setting off the young prairie girl, full of vitality. At this moment, I can only smell the fragrance of green grass.

Day3: Mongolian Khan City - Corps Town

In the hinterland of the gorgeous and magnificent Xiwuzhumuqin in the Xilin Gol Grassland, there is the Mongolian Khan City with a history of hundreds of years. After we drove around the prairie, we came to Mongolian Khan City. It is convenient to go anywhere on the prairie by self-driving.

: Entering Khan City, Mongolia, you can see flocks of cattle and sheep on the prairie, wild flowers blooming wantonly, and you can see yurts scattered under the sky from a distance. The colleague who went with her, Xiao Jing, jumped up happily. She got out of the car and lay on the grass. We couldn't pull it up. Fortunately, we were all lying on the grass. It was very comfortable. cool.

In the grassland, we also met a local Mongolian girl with a passionate and bold personality, dancing under the blue sky, her slim waist twisting with the rhythm, the surrounding grass also danced with her, and her laughter was blown away by the wind.

There is no chance to see this kind of big horse in the city. The so-called man is tall and the horse is big, and the horse is really big. Such a tall and vigorous horse can be seen in the Mongolian prairie. Fat and strong, a horse also has feelings. It stares at you motionlessly, as if it wants to tell you something. Sometimes I have the illusion that it can understand my words and express welcome to me.

The decoration inside the yurt is also quite luxurious. This is the home of the herdsmen we live in. There should be no need to buy a house here, and you don’t have to worry about the high housing prices. It’s great. I also want to stay here as a herdsman.

We lived in the home of a herdsman, and they warmly offered us milk tea, which we paid back and ate a large amount of pilaf.

After eating, I walked to the door and saw the shepherds grazing. They used horses instead of walking, chasing cattle and sheep, and the pride of the horse runners in the north was fully displayed.

A grandma was milking a cow. It was the first time in her life that she saw a cow milking. It seemed laborious and skillful. If she didn’t do it often, she might get kicked by the cow, like me. (so bad)

Day4: Corps town

And there are many cultural buildings hidden in the grassland. On the vast grassland, I can see a small town from a distance, which is the place where "Wolf Totem" was filmed - the small town of Bingtuan. Entering the Bingtuan town, it seemed that we had returned to the 1980s. We rented military uniforms, carried backpacks, and took a lot of photos, imagining that we were also anti-Japanese heroes. The old traces of that time are preserved here. Young people often come to study and pay their respects, invisibly continuing the spiritual wealth of the Chinese nation. Although the material life continues to improve, the excellent spirit passed down by the ancestors cannot be abandoned.

Xiaojuzi took pictures of us, the four of us lined up in a row, like rows of small trees, but there is no heroic posture of soldiers, no matter how you look at it, there is no momentum. Still had a lot of fun, everyone just had fun.

: The old post office, pretending to stuff the envelope into the mailbox, and send it to someone far away.

It was here back then that the revolutionary ancestors discussed the great decisions of the party and spent days and nights shoulder to shoulder with their comrades in arms. The old furnishings here are not boring, and we feel more historical atmosphere in these relics.

The grasslands, blue sky, and colorful yurts make me linger, as if I have forgotten the troubles of being in a noisy city. But after all, this is not a place to stay for a long time, it can only be regarded as a short spiritual rest. After the rest, you have to fight and fight hard. I hope to have the opportunity to come back here again and feel the pure heart life.

Transportation & Food & Tickets

1. There are Corps Town and Mongolian Khan City in the Xilin Gol Grassland. It is best to drive there by yourself, which is much more convenient. There is a lack of public transportation on the grassland. Generally, take a train or plane to the urban area first, and then charter or rent a car to go to the prairie.

2. Xilinhot City has a "hand-held meat street", which is full of special snacks and is worth a visit.

3. The grassland does not accept tickets, but the viewing time is 8:00-18:00, pay attention to the time, go early and return early.

4. For accommodation, you can stay in a hotel or homestay in the urban area. The conditions are better, and you can also live in the herdsman's house in the scenic area, but the number of acceptable people is limited.
