Cycling tour of the Dai Nationality Garden, the scenery along the way is magnificent, riding on the banks of the Lancang Mekong River. Feel the natural scenery of the river. Ride freely and travel with friends. It is about 24 kilometers from Gaozhuang Xishuangjing to Dai Nationality Park. We rode for about 90 minutes or so.

The Lancang River passes through Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, and enters the South China Sea in the Pacific Ocean south of Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam. The total drainage area is 810,000 square kilometers. It is the river that flows through the most countries in Asia. The Lancang River is 2,179 kilometers long in China and flows through the three provinces of Qinghai, Tibet, and Yunnan, of which 1,247 kilometers are in Yunnan, with a drainage area of 165,000 square kilometers, accounting for 22.5% of the Lancang-Mekong River basin area.

The Lancang River is one of the major rivers in Southwest China and an international major river in Asia. The Lancang River originates from the snow-capped wetlands in the Tanggula Mountains. The rich snow-capped mountains and groundwater in wetland conservation areas provide conditions for the formation of the Lancang River. The Lancang River Basin is the region with the most ethnic, religious and landscape diversity in my country, ranging from tropical rain forests to snow-capped mountains and meadows. It not only has beautiful scenery, but also has rich humanities.

The temples along the way look very old and should have a history of hundreds of years. In Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, the Dai people believe in Buddhism. Every village has a Buddhist temple.

Dai Buddhism is also called "Theravada Buddhism" and "Southern Buddhism". Between the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, Indian Buddhism split into a Mahayana sect that advocated "pursuing all living beings". The original Buddhism and sect Buddhism that only sought self-liberation were called Hinayana. Theravada Buddhism was later spread to Sri Lanka, and then to the Indochina Peninsula and Yunnan Province of China.

The Asian elephant is the largest surviving continental animal in Asia. Its tusks, which are more than 1 meter long, are the incisors protruding from the upper jaw of male elephants, and are also powerful defensive weapons. The elephant's eyes are small and its ears are large, and the ears can cover the sides of the neck backwards. The limbs are thick and strong, with 5 toes on the forelimbs and 4 toes on the hind limbs. The tail is short and thin, the skin is thick and wrinkled, and the whole body is covered with sparse short hair. The top of the head is the highest point, with a body length of 5-6 meters, a height of 2.1-3.6 meters, and a weight of 3-5 tons. [1] There are very few wild elephants now, and there are many domestic and slave elephants domesticated in some countries in Southeast Asia. China's wild elephants are only distributed in the southern part of Yunnan Province, border areas adjacent to Myanmar and Laos. The number is very rare, and they have been hunted and killed repeatedly, causing serious damage. It belongs to the national first-class protected animals.

Founded in 583 A.D., it has a history of more than 1,400 years. It is one of the famous local Buddhist temples. It is said that it is the first Buddhist temple built after Buddhism was introduced into Xishuangbanna. But the original Buddhist temple was destroyed in the 1960s, and the Buddhist temple that people see now was built in the late 1970s.
