The Song Mausoleum is located on the hills and flat land between the northern foot of Songshan Mountain and the Luohe River in Gongyi City, Henan Province. There are more than 300 mausoleums in the 30 square kilometers of land. It is the largest group of imperial mausoleums in central China. This huge mausoleum group covers almost all the emperors of the Northern Song Dynasty. Among the nine emperors of the Northern Song Dynasty, except the two emperors Hui and Qin who were captured and imprisoned by the Jin people in Mobei, the other seven emperors were buried in Gongyi. In addition, Zhao Kuangyin's father Zhao Hongyin The mausoleums of the seven emperors are collectively referred to as the "Seven Emperors and Eight Tombs". Surrounding the eight imperial tombs are the tombs of the empress, the tombs of the royal family, and the tombs of famous generals, and there are countless tombs. Gongyi is a vast history museum of the Song Dynasty. Song Mausoleum was listed as the second batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 1982. I have heard of Songling in Gongyi for a long time, but I have never had the chance to go there. In the summer, I took a photo of the wheat harvest in Songling with a few enthusiastic friends from Henan. The lives of modern people are mixed with these stone statues. If the ancestors had spirits in the sky, they must have witnessed these changes. (Xu Yi, author of Jinmen.com)
