Where did the author go: Xixia Customs Garden→Xishia Royal Tomb→Zhenbeibao Western Film and Television City→Helanshan Rock Paintings

On April 4, 2019, I finally had time to take a trip with my friends. So our group of six went to Xixia Customs Garden, Xixia Royal Tomb, Western Film and Television City, and Helan Mountain Rock Paintings. Our one-day tour started with great anticipation, and I believe it will be a wonderful journey.

First stop: Xixia Style Garden

Tickets: 60 yuan / person

Our first stop is Ningxia Xixia Style Garden, because it is relatively close to the downtown area of Yinchuan. Xixia Customs Park Tourist Scenic Spot, located at the foot of Helan Mountain, looks simple and quiet, and you can feel the historical atmosphere of the Xixia Dynasty when you enter the scenic spot.

Tourists can see Xixia characters with complicated strokes, appreciate Xixia pottery, or stroll in the style streets, Shijing Streets, Zhaibao, etc., which are characteristic of Xixia construction. In addition, there is also the majestic Northwest exclusive real-scene horse battle performance "Beacon of Xixia", which fully restores the real-scene performance of Xia Liao's "Battle of Hequ", and reproduces the glorious history of the Xixia Dynasty through fierce battle scenes.

Second stop: Western Xia Royal Tombs

Tickets: 88 yuan / person (including tickets)

Our second stop came to the Tombs of the Xixia Kings. Many people think that the ancient Egyptian pyramids are unique wonders in the world. In fact, the Western Xia King's Tomb in China is also known as the "Oriental Pyramid". Now let's go to appreciate its style!

After entering the door, we went to the Xixia Museum first. The tour guide of the scenic spot introduced us to two national treasure-level cultural relics-the Xia and Han inscription stele and the lacquered gold copper bull. The two sides of the Xia-Han inscription tablet are engraved with Chinese characters and Xia characters respectively. It was discovered by a scholar in the Qing Dynasty in a ruined temple. More than 6,000 scholars have translated the Xixia script through this stele. It can be seen that there are many words in this inscription. The lacquered gold copper bull is the funeral object of the Xixia King's Mausoleum. The ox weighs 200 kilograms, is 1.28 meters long and 0.64 meters wide. It incorporates the essence of all the arts of the Xixia people. So become a national treasure.

After visiting the museum, we went to the mausoleum area. There are nine mausoleums, large and small, in the mausoleum area. Tai Tomb No. 3 is the tomb of Yuan Hao, and it is the largest in the entire mausoleum area. However, due to the serious damage when the Xixia Kingdom was wiped out by Mongolia, all the buildings on the ground were destroyed, leaving only ruins and broken walls to record the majesty and glory that once existed, guarding the mausoleum as tall as a pyramid. The mound stands alone on the desolate wilderness, as if it is telling people something... The mysterious Xixia royal tombs and the mysterious Xixia script have left many mysteries in my heart.

The third stop: Zhenbeibao Western Film City

Tickets: 80/person

After visiting and studying the Xixia Royal Mausoleum, the next place we are going to is Zhenbeibao Western Film and Television City, which has the reputation of "Chinese movies go to the world from here". Zhenbei Fort is a frontier fortress in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was discovered by the great director Zhang Xianliang when he was in labor reform here, and wrote the name of Zhenbei Fort in his works. After Zhang Xianliang was rehabilitated, he invited film and television director Xie Jin to shoot here "The Wrangler", adapted from "Soul and Flesh" written by Zhang Xianliang, won an international award and made Chinese films shine.

In 1993, a film and television city was built on the original site. It is mainly composed of three main scenic spots: Qingcheng, Mingcheng and Old Yinchuan Street. It is a combination of sightseeing, entertainment and food, which makes people nostalgic. The main architectural style is rough and unrestrained in the Northwest, and all the shooting spots during the filming period have been completely preserved and restored. Many famous actors have filmed films here. If we are lucky, we may meet the film crew who are shooting the film, and maybe meet my idol.

As soon as you enter the main entrance of the scenic spot. It is Qingcheng. The main attractions include Wengcheng, Lucky Gate, Mysterious Cave, Baihuatang, Film and Television Street, Ancient Castle Gua, Dudu Mansion, Bull Demon Palace, Guanyin Pavilion, Exhibition Hall, Star Kennel, Gaozi Pavilion, etc. The Westward Journey that everyone is most familiar with was filmed here.

Mingcheng is located on the south side of Qingcheng. The main attractions are: Cornucopia, Wrangler, Cultural Revolution Compound, Moon Gate, Guanzhong City Gate, Firewood Shop, Pansi Cave, Dingzhou Governor's Mansion, Wine Workshop, Jiuer's Room, Blacksmith Camp, Ruins Gallery, Marriage Recruiting Platform, Longmen Inn wait. Here we can look back at the scenes of those blockbuster movies and enjoy the different happiness!

The old Yinchuan street is mainly a copy of the most prosperous Liuxiang Street in Yinchuan before liberation. It shows the old shops and streets of Yinchuan at that time. There are also Yinchuan City History Exhibition, Fire Science Popularization Education Exhibition, Xinqiqi, Chengtian Temple Theater and so on. Travel to the old Yinchuan a hundred years ago and feel the old streets a hundred years ago.

Let's tour in the film and television city, let ourselves constantly change roles in blockbuster movies, and experience the charm of movies!

Fourth Stop: Helan Mountain Rock Paintings

Tickets: 70/person

We first came to the "World Rock Painting Museum", which was built in 1996. It contains historical rock paintings from five continents, as well as exhibits of rock paintings from Helan Mountain in Ningxia, which makes people linger! Here, I learned that rock paintings are solidified on rocks A huge epic is a precious cultural heritage of mankind. China is the first country in the world to discover and record petroglyphs, and it is also the country with rich distribution of petroglyphs in the world. They are distributed in more than 20 provinces and cities across the country. The content is mainly animals and human faces. . Our "World Rock Art Museum" in Helan Mountain, Yinchuan, Ningxia is the first rock art museum in China.

Finally, we entered the Helan Mountain Rock Art Reserve. The rock paintings of Helan Mountain are located in Helankou, which contain real pictures carved on the cliff by Chinese nomads, including portraits, shooting and war scenes, as well as texts, totems and other paintings. Most of the pictures are rough and simple, which is a great miracle of ancient Chinese civilization. Most of the petroglyphs are chiseled with tools first and then ground with other tools. Standing among the green mountains and green trees, admiring the lifelike rock paintings, I seem to have seen the labor methods of human society in ancient times, and the relationship between human beings and nature...

Among them, the painting that impressed me the most is the sacred "Sun God". The sun god has big eyes and radiating rays of light around his head, and his appearance is very strange. It is said that a long time ago, Pangu opened up the world, and there was day and night. People didn't know that the sun would go down, and they thought that at night, the sun would be angry and run away, and they dared not come back. So they regard the sun as their god, and engrave the image of the sun on the rock, hoping that the sun will not go away. Before the opening of the sky, the universe was dark, people could not move, and the dark night brought inconvenience to human beings, so people respected the sun very much. Coupled with myths and legends, the image of the sun god is even taller and more mysterious.

These petroglyphs condense the wisdom of the ancient people and tell the way of life of that era to future generations, which amazes us. But unfortunately many petroglyphs have been weathered and destroyed. Therefore, we must further protect the precious heritage of the ancient people and let it flourish.

A short and meaningful day passed like this. Although we were tired, this day was also extremely meaningful. We not only learned a lot of knowledge, but also relaxed our minds and increased our knowledge. It really was an outing to remember!
