As the saying goes, troublemakers come out of poor mountains and bad waters. Taking the current Puxiong area of Daliang Mountain as an example, this statement is obviously biased.
Many people thought that the former Daliang Mountain was synonymous with poverty and backwardness. Compared with Daliang Mountain, Puxiong's poverty and backwardness seem to be further advanced. Time has changed, and in retrospect, it is an extraordinary practice of poverty alleviation, which has changed the old look of this place.
I am familiar with Puxiong's scenery and customs. In my opinion, although the Puxiong area is poor, there is no lack of attractive brilliance of beautiful mountains and rivers, and most of the people are hospitable and kind to others.
A few years ago, the country implemented the strategy of poverty alleviation. As one of the cadres helping, I used to travel back and forth in the Puxiong area, eating and sleeping in the open for three years. What is the situation after getting rid of poverty? More than a year later, appointed by the Sichuan Writers Association, I had the honor to return to visit this land where dreams and hopes are placed.
There is not much left in June, and the wind in the valley has died down. There should be wind in the sky, because the thin clouds overhead are slowly dissipating. Standing on the factory dam of Liangshan Deyi Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. for a group photo with the person in charge of the company, the sun suddenly poured down and dazzled my eyes that were afraid of light. I tried my best to open my squinted eyes, and cooperated with the reporter who was half-squatting in front of me and dutifully taking pictures.
Carrying the imagination of the abundant rainy season, the Puxiong River is flowing happily, winding from south to north, following the ancient riverbed all the way to the north, impartially, dividing the dam washed out over the years into two. The green hills on both sides of the valley are lush and poetic, the corn groves on both sides of the river are jointing, and the jade belt of the river is worn on the chest of the not-so-expansive dam, which looks easy under the sun.
The Chengdu-Kunming Railway on the right bank is hidden among the houses and trees, reflecting dazzling light from time to time, and occasionally there is a long whistle of a train piercing the silence. The generous sunlight also shines on the 346-mu factory area of Deyi Agricultural Ecological Company on the left bank, and the white roof of the farm is shining with white light. Visiting the functional area of automatic laying hen breeding, listening to the endless introduction by the person in charge of the company, and witnessing the advanced production line imported from a foreign country at a great cost, Puxiong, this familiar place has become strange.
Needless to say, the emergence of rows of modern factory buildings reveals that a new civilization has been accepted. This new thing has injected vitality and vitality into this ancient land, and at the same time inspired people's memories of the heavy past. This kind of memory is full of slight sadness and slight nostalgia after comparison. Embracing new things is never easy, and emotions are naturally indescribable.
When it comes to Puxiong in history, it is absolutely famous. In Daliang Mountain, it can be said that everyone knows it and everywhere. For some reason, Puxiong, which is summarized by the folks in the proverb, is somewhat daunting: the place where people are slippery on stone slabs, and the place where people are flooded by water. Fierce gods are used to parties, and wild boars often grind their teeth. Just ask any Puxiong person, and he can recite a few famous proverbs for you. Of course, they did not give up on themselves. The ancestors were able to gain a foothold in such a dangerous environment, and there was still an element of showing off secretly.
However, outsiders feel that this is really a bad name. In the past, when Puxiong was mentioned, not only the Yi people in other places would change their expressions, but also powerful local warlords like Liu Wenhui and Deng Xiuting would be afraid. , will not get involved here.
The turning point came in the early 1940s. It is clearly recorded in the literature and history materials of the Yuexi County Political Consultative Conference that in those few years, although the fireworks of the Anti-Japanese War or the Civil War continued to burn on the Great Plains, the national army still spared time and resources to attack Puxiong three times. The first two times were unsuccessful, but the last time, the dispirited national army requested three planes from Chongqing, the accompanying capital of the Nationalist Government, to take it down after suffering huge casualties. To be famous, one has to find a high-sounding reason. At that time, looking around, the unfettered poppies planted all over the mountains and plains in the Puxiong River Valley were blooming with colorful reasons for war.
After the war ended with the sharp gunfire, the Puxiong River Valley returned to silence, and the people of Puxiong returned to the dusty days in shock. The new excitement came from the opening of the Chengdu-Kunming Railway.
In 1970, the Chengdu-Kunming Railway was put into operation, and the natural moat became a thoroughfare. The geographical gap between Puxiong people and the outside world was filled, and the Puxiong River Valley was isolated from the world since ancient times. Goods circulated, horizons were opened, and friendly exchanges among various ethnic groups began.
After the reform and opening up, the convenient transportation has played a greater role. It seems that overnight, Puxiong quickly became the commodity gathering and distributing center of Daliang Mountain. , the reputation of "Little Hong Kong" has been spread in and out of the mountains.
It was an era of mud and sand, and the notoriety that accompanied the good name also flew along. Passengers who often catch trains on the Chengdu-Kunming railway line will mostly remember such a scene: Whenever the train is about to pass Puxiong Station, the conductors will walk through the carriages in a formal manner, reminding passengers one by one that Puxiong Station is coming, please Please protect your carry-on luggage.
Xia Gucun often went on the train to buy some local products. He recalled that at first, he felt harsh when he heard it, and he protested to the conductor. Later, when he saw a familiar young man wandering around in the carriage, watching for any opportunity to steal, he was speechless. Whenever this happened, he would strictly cover up his background, fearing that people would find out that he was from Puxiong.
Governments at all levels are determined to rectify, and Requ remembers that the turning point of law and order came from the establishment of Puxiong Public Security Bureau. As Puxiong's word-of-mouth gradually improved, some people did get rich first, which naturally included the popularity of being a itinerant peddler on the train.
The wealthy Requ did not leave the villagers behind. He took the lead in setting up an embroiderer workshop in the village, bought a storefront on Puxiong Street, and sold a wide variety of handmade embroidery by the embroiderers.
Last year, the Yi embroidery in Xiagu Village was rated as a state-level intangible cultural heritage. Requ was invited to participate in several provincial and state intangible cultural heritage exhibitions. As the Yi embroidery in Xiagu Village became famous, their business became more and more popular. .
From time to time, trains pass by on the back of the shop, and the Yi embroidery stitched slowly and stitch by stitch is placed in the shop. Industrialized production and traditional small crafts converge and collide unintentionally here, playing a song of the development of the times. symphony.
When the interview team visited the Deyi Ecological Agriculture Company, they encountered Requ driving his own van into the factory area. After inquiring, he found out that he wanted to negotiate with him to see if he could sell the eggs of Deyi Ecological Agriculture Company on an agency basis. He said that he bought some to taste, and the yolk of Deyi's eggs is bigger and thicker, tastes no fishy smell, and tastes good. He thinks that the market prospect of consignment sales is more optimistic.
Yes, Requ is an optimistic person. He can always find opportunities to get rich from the platforms provided by the times.
Opportunities for individuals and opportunities for enterprises may be different, but the basic principle of "the opportunity never comes again" should still be the same. Deyi Ecological Agriculture Company undoubtedly seized the great opportunity of the national rural revitalization strategy. "Getting rid of poverty is not the end, but the starting point of a new life and struggle." Just like an extended railway line, one stop after another, never give up until the goal is reached, take poverty alleviation as an important stop on the road to a well-off society in an all-round way, and take the next journey of rural revitalization well.
It is in the new journey of the country's rural revitalization strategy, according to the idea of "be rich first and get rich later", Deyi Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., a project aided by Deyang City, Sichuan Province to Liangshan, bravely chose Puxiong. Deyang is connected to the Yi area, so it cannot be explained too much. The word "De Yi" clearly expresses the purpose of pairing and helping. I told the person in charge of the company that it was a coincidence that the pronunciation of the word "De Yi" means take off in Yi language, and the meaning is still auspicious. Unexpectedly, there is such a meaning in Yi language, so she smiled happily.
My question is, in the vast Daliang Mountains, why do you have a special liking for Puxiong in the backcountry?
The young and beautiful person in charge of the company slowly took off his mask, showed a rippling smile, and introduced the situation.
"Liangshan Deyi Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. was established on August 13, 2019. There are many reasons for choosing this place, mainly because it is far away from pollution, the investment environment is good, and the transportation is convenient. The interest linking mechanism has included all 7,527 households and 32,282 people in the county who have relocated for poverty alleviation and relocation as support objects. What we are visiting is a newly-built commercial laying hen farm with 3 million feathers, and the annual sales of commercial eggs can reach 4.5 Tons of tons. We insist that economic and social benefits go hand in hand, and we have established a mechanism of interest connection that is closely related to poverty alleviation households and the local economy..."
"After 3 million laying hens are put into production, the company plans to mobilize out-of-poverty households to invest in small laying hen farms. The company will provide technical guidance, chick feed supply, product recycling, and processing to build an industrial base for laying hens in Liangshan Prefecture. The company cooperates with Sichuan University , Sichuan Agricultural University and other scientific research institutes have established long-term cooperative relations. On August 28, 2020, under the witness of relevant departments, the egg procurement of the "Love Dinner Assistance Program" officially signed with the company, and the 11.7 million eggs produced by the company will be provided by "Love "Dinner Aid Program" was distributed to more than 60,000 students in Liangshan Prefecture as loving dinners. In addition, with the theme of "every catty of eggs sold, donate a penny", the event explored a public welfare model and helped the industry to help the poor. In 2021, we won the provincial The title of a key industrial park."
Seeing is believing. We interviewed Weiser Ajia, a woman working in a laying hen production workshop. She looked to be in her thirties, with a swarthy face and a smile that contained a hint of vigilance and shyness. She said that her home is in a village on the other side of the river, and she used to work in Zhejiang. She has had children in recent years, and it is not convenient to drag her children to work. I heard that Deyi Company was recruiting workers, and thought that I could work part-time and take care of children, so I chose here. If you work full time, you can earn more than 5,000 yuan a month.
Asked about the investment environment here, the person in charge of the company replied that he was satisfied. She gave an example, saying that there was a sudden power outage during the dry season at the beginning of the year. She was in a hurry and called the county magistrate for help. Soon, the company's electricity consumption was guaranteed.
When it comes to using electricity, I can't help but think of a scene when I helped Bujiluo Village in Puxiong. Old man Ji Xia sat outside the flour milling room transformed from his old house, with a white turban tied on his head. He looked comfortably at the sparsely populated village road in front of the door, and took out the dry tobacco and smacked it.
I came forward to chat with him with great interest, from the historical allusion of Puxiong to today's poverty alleviation. He actually knew about the bombing of Puxiong by Kuomintang planes. According to him, there was a woman from the Guoji family who refused to hide. She was pounding rice on a stone mortar at the door and was bombed by an airplane bomb. The branches of the walnut tree were covered with corpses. It was appalling. Speaking of today, he said with satisfaction that after the power grid transformation, the village’s electricity bills have dropped by several cents, and the noodle grinding machine room has made a bit of money.
Looking up to the west, on the ramp to the west of Deyi Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. is the famous Yinzhu Village Waqu. The sun beats on the silence of the village, and the jingle of small hammers hitting silver ornaments can be heard in a daze. Although the mountains are dragging their own shadows, they have opened their arms to the warm sunshine, and Waqu Village is immersed in joy and peace.
What is especially gratifying is that nearly 200 villagers in the village will process and produce silver jewelry. In March 2019, the Waqu Yi Nationality Intangible Heritage Handmade Silver Jewelry Traditional Craft Workshop was awarded the national "Intangible Cultural Heritage Poverty Alleviation Workshop". The local people said proudly: "As long as there are Yi people, you can see the silver ornaments of Waqu Village."
Looking back, the Puxiong River is running continuously, and the wind in the valley fluctuates from time to time. When we walked out of the agricultural park, the flue-cured tobacco was growing vigorously in the valley, and the tobacco farmers were busy in the fields, continuing to play the march of the adjustment and upgrading of the agricultural industrial structure. On the terraced fields on the hillside in the distance, the rice paddies that are turning green and tillering have green waves, like another mysterious river.
I know that in more than two months, the annual New Rice Tasting Festival in the Puxiong River Valley will be staged on this five-color terraced fields. The ideal place of residence is described in the legend of the Yi people, saying that "the grass bears ears of rice, the rice is golden, the branches of Artemisia bear peppercorns, and the peppercorns are red and bright". Express your own poetic and picturesque.
When I left, I was thinking that no one can remember all the vicissitudes that have been performed on this land in the past hundred years-about birth and death, happiness and pain, peace and turmoil... The hook for the past, It should be to cheer and encourage reality, and should not become a burden and hinder the new journey.
One day, people on this land may suddenly realize that this piece of land called "Puxiong" has never been hardened and suffocated, and it can still breathe the spirit of heaven and earth and the spirit of the times forgetfully.
