If I have to have a reason, then I think, maybe the hustle and bustle of the city makes me feel tired, maybe it's the vehicles on the street and the busy people coming and going that make me feel confused. Maybe it was late at night, when I woke up, I still heard the hustle and bustle of the city, which made me feel bored.

There are many places I want to go, but I know that the destination I most want to reach is the grassland. So I have no hesitation, just like when I went to Tibet, I left as soon as I said.

foreword

Destination: Sheilamrenjiya herdsman's home

Brief introduction: Xilamuren is located in the southeast of Damao Banner, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Because there is a long-standing Xilituzhao along the Xilamuren River, it is also called "Zhao River". Xilamuren means "yellow river" in Mongolian. It is 100 kilometers north of Hohhot and 1,700 meters above sea level. It is the closest grassland to the urban area of Inner Mongolia.

Geography and climate: From July to August, the average daytime temperature is 18°C~30°C, and the average nighttime temperature is 3°C~10°C. (The climate temperature difference on the grassland is greater.) "Wear cotton-padded jackets in the morning, wear gauze in the afternoon, and eat watermelon with the stove in your arms." This is what the saying describes.

Historical evolution: Xili Tuzhao (Xilam Renzhao) was built in the thirty-fourth year of Qianlong (1769) in the Qing Dynasty, and was named "Puhui Temple" by the Qing court.

I hardly prepared anything, and the only thing I brought the most was probably sunscreen. Sunscreen clothes, sunscreen sleeves, sunscreen, facial masks, hats, masks, sunglasses, aloe vera cream, and one or two autumn windbreakers.

Preparations for departure - medicines

Experience Sharing: Drug Preparation

The important thing is said three times, and the things that prevent and repel insects must be adequately prepared. You can bear the scorching sun to tan you, but you can't stand the bites of mosquitoes!

Then, I take myself and my suitcase. I met my good friend Xiao Min on the train.

Next, I will spend 40 hours and 13 minutes on the train. The waiting time took me across 2655 kilometers to get here.

Preparations for departure - food on the train

Experience Sharing: Security Issues

1. Calculate how many meals you will have to eat on the train, and go to the supermarket in advance to buy what you will eat next. Food on the train is expensive and not tasty. So I usually eat bread and a self-heating lunch box for dinner.

2. If a girl travels alone, try to choose the upper berth. Although it is inconvenient to sleep on the upper berth, it is safer for people and property. If there are two people, it is recommended that at least one of them is a lower berth, so that it is convenient for two people to sit, chat and play.

The first meal on the train was rice dumplings made by myself, and Xiang Piaopiao bought by myself.

Uh, listening to music on the train, drinking milk tea, and looking at the scenery outside the window, um, it’s really good.

Long time no, travel, long no, train. I am coming to you, Hiramuren.

Experience sharing: Snickers chocolate

To be honest, Snickers bars are really sweet, I don't like to eat them. But who calls it a calorie supplement? It can quickly increase your body's calories and sweep away hunger. One (100g) Snickers bar is equal to 490 calories, and it takes 62.7 minutes to climb the stairs to consume it. Every time I go on a trip, I like to take it with me. I take it with me when I climb the snow-capped mountains, and I take it with me when I go to the plateau.

Departure - halfway through the train

Passing by Beijing on the way, we got out of the car and walked around to feel the atmosphere of Greater Beijing.

We are approaching Hohhot, and we can see a lot of green plants on the train. Although we can see a lot of houses here and there, I haven’t seen the prairie yet, but I’m still very happy. I’ve been on the train for more than 40 hours. I was finally able to get out of the car.

Arrival - Hohhot to Zhaohe

Newcomer, hi! Hello! Hohhot! !

Look at the train station in Hohhot, there are Mongolian translations on it.

The next step is to take a car to Zhaohe, the bus station is on the right hand side of the railway station, very close. Just pay attention to the sign on the right when you leave the train station.

In this unfamiliar place, we were waiting for the bus early because we were afraid of missing the bus. The station is a bit messy and there are still a lot of people.

Experience Sharing: Clothing Safety Issues

When a girl goes out, especially alone, she should dress plainly, and the color of the clothes is black, white and gray, and don't be too bright to attract attention. Including bags and shoes, they should be plain and simple. Anyway, it’s good to be poor at first glance. Valuables, such as electronic equipment, cameras, etc., should be placed in crowded and miscellaneous places in the suitcase and not taken out.

Well, after standing for a long time, it's finally time to board the train, but the station entrance is sealed, where do I get in? Uh, the place is a bit messy, so I can't wait foolishly at the same place, and I was about to ask what's going on, when a stranger came to ask us where we were going, I hesitated and said to go to Zhaohe. The stranger immediately came to greet us and told us to go to another station.

Uh, this is a bit of a routine, we followed him cautiously, and I asked why the station entrance changed.

The stranger said it was changed. I looked at the car, and the destination on it was Bailing Temple.

Popularity: Bailing Temple is located in the seat of the government of Darhan Maoming'an United Banner, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Therefore, Bailing Temple is the city center of Zhaohe, and all government departments are located in Bailing Temple. Bailing Temple is a town, and Zhaohe is the county seat of this town.

I immediately took a picture and sent it to our store, wechat, uh, no reply. The phone, uh, don't listen. Uh, lost the chain at a critical moment? !

But we still got on the bus. After getting on the bus, we asked the passengers on the bus who looked like foreigners. They also went to Zhaohe. Only then did I sit down with peace of mind.

Experience sharing: When encountering unfamiliar problems

When you encounter something you don’t understand or have doubts about, you must ask someone to clarify it, and make sure that the matter has an 80% correct rate and safety guarantee before executing it. Any loss must stand aside in front of safety. If you are not sure whether this car is safe or not, you will not take it. If you miss this shift, you will spend money to buy another shift.

The scenery along the car

Along the way, the green plants are covered very high, but I still haven't seen the grassland that can make my heart beat.

The normal driving time is about 2-3 hours, but because of stop-and-go traffic jams along the way, it took about three or four hours to arrive.

After getting out of the car, wow, the sun is too strong! Put on your sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses.

So when Gia saw us, we were all wrapped up tightly, complaining about us being too exaggerated along the way.

A very narcissistic photo of Gia

By the way, Gia is our shopkeeper and our boss. At that time, the first impression was that he was a little whiter than black people, and he was familiar with him, and he even showed us his ID card.

It is undeniable that the Mongolian nationality is written on the ID card, which is really a minority.

Arrival - the first time I came to Gia's house

endless green sea

Gia drove us back to the grassland, and finally on the way, I saw what the grassland should look like in my mind.

Endless, lush green, looking at the past, no cars, no houses, no people, a deserted place, this is a green ocean.

boundless world

When we arrived on the first day, the sky was overcast and there was almost no blue sky to be seen. Even so, we were still very excited. After sitting for about half an hour, we arrived at the destination, put down our luggage, and ran out to take pictures desperately!

The joyful mood has been bouncing on the grass. There is no time to change clothes, this vast and boundless world is really too big! ! !

customs on the prairie

The toilet here is a temporary open-air toilet, on the grass a few hundred meters away from Gia's house. Remember not to take your mobile phone when you go to the toilet, I am afraid that your hands will shake for a while and you will regret it for the rest of your life.

Open-air toilets on the prairie

The dry climate on the grassland makes it difficult for people to sweat. Usually, they will go to the bathhouse in the county to take a bath in a week to half a month. It costs about 15-20 yuan per bath.

The staple food on the grassland is pasta, and rice is basically not eaten. The most eaten daily are steamed buns, noodles, mutton, millet porridge and so on.

Giya's mother, Aunt Yang, is a very warm, friendly and humorous person. She called us over to eat. I ate the cold shallots for the first time in my life.

I don’t know why this taste is delicious. When you go to the grassland, you must eat sandy green onions. The freshly picked ones are really delicious!

Prairie recipes

Classic cold dishes: cold shallots, bitter vegetables, buckwheat vegetables, cucumbers, shredded potatoes, tomatoes with sugar. (Bitter vegetables and shallots must be eaten!)

Classic snacks with wine: milk slices, milk sticks, milk cubes, cheese, milk skin, milk tofu...

Classic drinks: milk tea, kiln guests, mare's milk...

As for the guests from Dayao, I once found a relief of Tsingtao beer on the bottle... Uh, what's the situation? This smell is very familiar, guest-flavored soda? What does it taste like. Sweet soda, a bottle on a hot day, it’s so refreshing~

Regarding mare's milk, I originally wanted to drink kumiss. But real pure kumiss is said to be very expensive and rare. So Gia bought us mare's milk, uh... this taste is very sour, very sour, very watery, not delicious, but I heard that it is very nutritious, so we bite the bullet and mix it I bought some white wine and went in to drink it. Well, this is kumiss.

Must-order meat: lamb chops, lamb leg, hand meat, haggis, lamb blood sausage, lamb liver... (haggis is delicious!)

Breakfast: haggis with steamed buns

Noodles: mutton dumplings, knife-cut noodles, steamed buns... (must eat mutton dumplings!)

Dinner: Mutton Dumplings

When you come to the grassland, you must eat mutton. The mutton here is not at the same level as the mutton I used to eat. It is very fragrant and has almost no smell. For a Cantonese, I don’t get angry when I eat mutton every day!

First experience: night

night in inner mongolia

The place where we sleep is the self-built house of Gia's family. The temperature at night is about 10 degrees below, which is very cold, which is similar to the winter in Guangdong.

Experience Sharing: Clothing Issues

The temperature on the grasslands of Inner Mongolia is colder than those in the county and urban areas, and the temperature difference between day and night is larger. Wear thicker clothing at night, but short sleeves can be worn during the hot days. It is recommended to bring enough clothes. The wind on the grassland is relatively strong, it is recommended to bring a windbreaker.

The next day, when there is nothing to do. We ran to a small hill to take pictures. Pido of Gia's family is a bitch, she is so enthusiastic and keeps chasing us to play.

First experience: going up the hill

Ready for a walk up the hill

Living in the city for a long time, such a vast world is so precious to us. There are no narrow roads, no densely packed buildings, no red lights and green wine, no vast crowds, no noisy streets, every strand of air here is alive, every piece of sky is alive, every inch of land is alive .

The heart that had been silent for a long time, at this moment, came alive with the blue sky.

I don’t know when it started, maybe it was in Tibet, I fell in love with photography, and I am willing to do my best to take a good photo. In this vast land, love, and enjoy.

My travel companion, Xiao Min, is a patient model and a person who like me is willing to do everything for photography. The journey can be complete, she is the other half.

It seems that I can't help but be able to pose a good-looking pose, I think it's the environment that sets it off.

I didn’t bring any tools, so I had to do a few unreliable moves at random~

This is the most classic move~~

Mongolian little sister on the grassland

"time to eat!!!……"

Aria's voice came from down the hillside.

Aria, that's right, Aria is written on the ID card, she is the jewel in the palm of sister Giya, a very smart and cute little Mongolian girl, with a sense of pride and inherent cuteness. Often ran into our room to chat.

The little girl is very brave, but her small body can pick up a lamb and run on the grass.

First experience: flies

It was evening again. Terrible flies and mosquitoes~~

fly fight

My Xiao Min is especially provoking mosquitoes, uh, she was bitten badly. In the grassland, it gets dark after eight o'clock in the evening. If you stay on the grassland for a while from five or six in the afternoon, you will definitely be sucked by mosquitoes.

Believe me, you must bring anti-mosquito, anti-itch and anti-inflammatory medicines! !

Another phenomenon is that there are so many flies here that in severe cases, piles of flies can be swept up every day. The flies here can be suffocated to death by lighting a mosquito coil, and the reaction speed is so slow that you can use a fly swatter to kill one by one.

Well, it's past nine o'clock, and I'm going to bed. Before I go to bed, I'll have a fly fight. I'm very proud of it. I almost think that my reaction speed has become faster when I come here.

So far, in just a few hours, we have adapted to life on the grassland.

Next, what I want to tell is our life.
