According to legend, in ancient times, the agricultural season was in charge of a god named Pangmadian Daracha. However, Dara, holding Ma Dian, relied on his superb spells, supernatural powers, displaying supernatural powers indiscriminately, doing whatever he wanted, raining when he wanted to, and cooling down when he wanted to, which made the world's cold and warm imbalance, rain and drought confused. The god of heaven, Indatila, decides to sanction Pingmadian Daracha, who brought disasters to the world, but because of Pingmadian Daracha's superb magic skills, all the gods dare not touch him. The seven kind-hearted and beautiful girls were very dissatisfied with their father's actions, and they were determined to eliminate their relatives righteously and eliminate disasters for the world. Holding the pockmark Dara revealed his secret of life and death unknowingly while talking and laughing: he is not afraid of fire, flood, knife and arrow, but he is afraid of using his hair to make a "bow plug"
The girls got their father very drunk, and while he was sleeping, they secretly pulled out one of his hairs and made it a "bow plug". When they pointed the "bow plug slaughter" at the holding pit Daracha, his neck was broken, and as soon as his head fell to the ground, he burst into flames, and the fire spread everywhere. In order to extinguish the evil fire, the seven girls took turns holding the pitted Daracha's head in their arms until it rotted. During the rotation, the girls have to fetch clean water and pour it on themselves to wash away the stains and odors all over their bodies.
In order to commemorate the seven girls who killed their relatives and eliminated harm for the people, the Dai family will hold water-splashing activities when celebrating the New Year to ward off disasters and disasters, and wish good weather, abundant grains, and prosperity for people and animals in the new year. The "wrist brain" in the New Year of the Dai calendar is the day when the head of Dara's head is rotten, and the water-splashing activity is held on this day.
