The Honghe Hani Terraced Fields are located in the south of Yunnan Province and spread across the four counties of Yuanyang, Honghe, Jinping, and Lvchun in Honghe Prefecture, with a total area of about 1 million mu. Yuanyang County alone has 170,000 mu of terraced fields. The Yuanyang Rice Terraces are landscape and pastoral paintings that have been "sculpted" by the Hani people for more than 1,300 years. On June 22, 2013, the Honghe Hani Rice Terraces were successfully included in the World Heritage List at the 37th World Heritage Conference.

Yuanyang Terraced Fields is the core area of Honghe Hani Terraced Fields. The transportation to Yuanyang is convenient. We took the bus from Mile County. After arriving at Yuanyang County, change trains and go up the mountain to the old city. Then take a taxi to stay in Duoyishu. Most people like to live in Shengchun, where there are many places to stay, the transportation is convenient and cheap. But Duoyishu is convenient for watching the fog in the morning.

There are three major scenic spots in Yuanyang Terraced Fields: Bada Scenic Area (including Jingkou, Quanfuzhuang, Malizhai, Zhulu and other contiguous terraces of more than 14,000 mu), Laohuzui Scenic Area (including Mengpin, Tongpu, A Mengkong, Baoshanzhai and other nearly 6,000 mu of terraced fields), Duoyishu Scenic Area (including Duoyishu, Aichun, Dawazhe and other contiguous tens of thousands of mu of terraced fields). These scenic spots are far apart, and if you need to take a taxi, you can make an appointment with the driver first. These can be easily done at the accommodation.
