The biggest worry of domestic travel in November is the large number of people. A few friends decided to go to Yunnan, Shangri-La to Meili Snow Mountain for five days to experience the scenery of the Yunnan-Tibet line. I took on the honorable duty of a tour guide, and it turned out to be very hard work! In order to ensure accommodation, the tour route was determined after grabbing air tickets, hotels and car rentals.

Air tickets
There are basically no discounts on air tickets. The first flight takes off at 7:50 on October 2nd at JD5181, and the return flight lands at Air China CA1470 at 23:55 on October 6th. The per capita insurance is 5280 yuan, accounting for half of the total cost.
rent a car
Car rental is relatively simple. Yunnan Harmony rents two four-wheel drive seven-seater Highlanders, 860 yuan/car/day, with a deposit of 30,000 yuan, and a deposit of 4,000 yuan for violations will be refunded one month after returning the car. There is no toll, and it is also very fuel-efficient. The actual driving distance is 900 kilometers. The road conditions are basically asphalt roads, but the mountain roads are rugged, with many bends and urgent roads, and the road surface is slippery when it rains. There are not many large cars but they often drive, so veteran drivers will feel more at ease. There are some traffic jams between Lijiang and Tiger Leaping Gorge, and the round trip from Tiger Leaping Gorge to Shangri-La to Feilai Temple is basically smooth, and there are very few station wagons.

Accommodation, two hotels for four nights were recommended by friends. Shangri-La stayed at Yueting Boutique Hotel in Dukezong Ancient City. It is a two-story characteristic inn with good service. The hotel door is locked at night, and the car is parked at the hotel entrance It's also very safe. The weather is about to turn on the warm air, the first floor is a bit cold, but the second floor is much better.
In Meili Scenic Area, I stayed at Feilai Temple Gaoshan Biezhuang Deqin Boutique Hotel for two nights. You can see the snow-capped mountains while lying in bed. Welcome fruit, snacks and yogurt, free oxygen bottle and a full set of L'Occitane bath, the environment is also very comfortable. Every night the hotel will organize a bonfire party, which will be very lively when the weather is good. The hotel offers buffet hotpot 198/person and buffet dinner 98/person. I tried it once respectively. The dishes are very complete, the lamb is very tender, and the green vegetables are also delicious. It is rare and worth recommending!

Tickets are discounted in some scenic spots during the November period, and some are cheaper to buy online. Tiger Leaping Gorge Buy 52 on the spot. Songzanlin Temple online 90 (including car) is more discounted, you have to buy it three hours in advance. The Meili package 182 is purchased on-site, including the foggy roof. Buy 30 on-site at Dongzhulin Temple. Pudacuo buys a set ticket on the spot for 230 (including car but not boat).
altitude
The altitude is between 1800 and 4300, and the highest pass of Baimang Snow Mountain is 4292. Some friends on the way are a little bit high, but it will be much better when they come back. Maybe eating yak hot pot is still effective.
Local tourism is very mature, and you can travel as soon as you say it.
Day 1 Tiger Leaping Gorge
October 2. It was already 12 o'clock after arriving at Lijiang Airport to pick up the luggage, and everyone felt a little bit at an altitude of 2200. The car rental company picked us up (5 minutes by car) and went to the store to handle the car rental procedures, and departed for Shangri-La at 12:30. Along the Yunnan-Tibet Highway 214 National Highway 108 kilometers, to Shangri-La Tiger Leaping Gorge, 1800 above sea level. The parking lot of the scenic spot is on the bank of the Tiger Leaping Stone, facing the Tiger Leaping Gorge in the Lijiang section across the river. Go straight down the steps to the riverside. The river is surging, as if it is about to hit the shore. The surface of the river formed several small rainbows against the sunlight. Because of the altitude, climbing up the steps is still a bit out of breath. Tiger Leaping Gorge on the other side of Lijiang is a four-kilometer hiking trail with gentle uphill and downhill slopes. I walked through it once when I came here, but now there are not many people visiting the other side.
All the way to Shangri-La is smooth, the road condition is good, but there are many speed tests. In the setting sun, clusters of red chamaejasma flowers accompany us all the way.
It was already 20 o'clock in the evening when we arrived at the ancient city of Dukezong. The outdoor temperature is less than 10 degrees, and the temperature difference between morning and evening is huge. The first dinner was yak meat hot pot, which was very warm and comfortable.
Day 2: Kardan Songzanlin Monastery Napa Haimeili Scenic Area
October 3rd. The most visited day is Gadan Songzanlin Temple, overlooking the Napa Sea, the big bend of the Jinsha River, overlooking the Baima Snow Mountain, passing the pass of Baimang Snow Mountain, visiting the foggy top, and flying to the temple.

Gadan Songzanlin Temple is 3300 meters above sea level. The fog was very heavy in the morning, and the clouds cleared and the fog cleared in about an hour. The golden roof of the main hall was resplendent in the sun.

There are many lamas chanting scriptures in the hall, and an old lama gave us rosary bracelets, which is auspicious.
Ramyangcuo Lake, also known as the Soul Lake of Our Lady, is said to reflect the past lives of pious people. The scenery along the plank road along the lake is very beautiful. There is a viewing platform on the opposite side of the mountain to see the panoramic view of Songzanlin Temple. On the plank road, you can also take pictures of the beautiful reflection of Songzanlin Temple in the water.
I met LUCKY, a big golden retriever, and drove here from the Northeast with my family. It has been a month since I visited the lake here. Its wish is to pray to the Buddha to make it lose weight successfully.
It takes 30 minutes to drive from Songzanlin Temple to Deqin. There is a parking lot at the corner of the 214 National Highway turning up the hillside. It is a good location to take a panoramic view of Napa Sea.
Entering the Meili Snow Mountain National Park, I bought a package 182 (including Jinsha River Dawan, Wunongding, Feilai Temple Observation Deck, Mingyong Glacier tickets) at a discounted price during the eleventh period. If you don't go to Wunongding, you can buy tickets online, which will be more favorable.
The Great Bend of the Jinsha River, also known as Moon Bay, is one of the top 40 landscapes in China. When the Jinsha River is about to rush out of the Sichuan-Yunnan Fortress, it draws a "U"-shaped big bend around the pyramid-like sun cone phoenix. Overlook soul-stirring.
Occasionally look back when stopping to rest, the scenery is infinite.

Baimang Snow Mountain Pass is 4292 meters above sea level, and it is very cold with light rain.
After crossing the pass, the sky immediately cleared up, and it was beautiful to take pictures casually.
The downhill road is very slippery, and the brakes sometimes fail. When we were nervous about the road conditions, Meili Snow Mountain was right there when we turned a corner, and we were happy all of a sudden. This trip is our first time in Meili, and we can see the whole picture of the snow mountain, and it is so clearly displayed in front of us. We are so lucky. So excited!
Wunongding Observation Deck is on the fork in the direction of Deqin. There are two main places to overlook Meili Snow Mountain, one is Feilai Temple Observation Deck, and the other is Wunongding Observation Deck. Before the Feilai Temple Observation Deck was completed, most tourists overlooked Meili Snow Mountain here. , if you don’t have enough time or save money, you can go directly to the viewing platform of Feilai Temple. It was 16:00 in the afternoon when we arrived at the top of the fog, and the backlight shooting effect was not very good.

Day 3 Rizhao Jinshan Mingyong Glacier
October 4th. Rizhao Jinshan, the greatest meaning of this trip, meeting is fate! The viewing platform of Feilai Temple is a 3-minute walk from the hotel, and you can enter it multiple times if you buy a package ticket. Wake up at 6:00 in the morning and wrap up tightly, set off from the viewing platform at 6:40, the sky is very clear, the Meili Thirteen Peaks are clearly visible, and more and more people come to take pictures with long guns and cannons. The sky is getting brighter and brighter. At 7:15, the first ray of sunshine shines on the peak of Kawabog, and everyone exclaims. The sunlight gradually diffused downwards, turning from pink to golden yellow, and then appearing on other peaks in turn until the thirteen peaks formed a golden barrier. What an honor to be able to see the whole picture of the snow mountain and the grand occasion of Rizhao Jinshan when I came here for the first time. Keep good thoughts in your heart, always be grateful, don't force or be obsessed, and let everything go. I am sure that I am a person of Buddha's karma.
Depart from Yongglacier at 8:00 in the morning, with a distance of 33 kilometers. Mingyong Glacier is the longest and largest glacier among the four major glaciers in Meili Snow Mountain. It stretches 11.7 kilometers in an arc from Meili Snow Mountain at an altitude of 6,740 meters to the virgin forest at 2,600 meters. From the gate of the scenic spot at the foot of the mountain, take an eco-car for eight kilometers, the fare is 75 yuan + 5 yuan for insurance. Hike up the mountain for the next two kilometers, and the top is the viewing platform. You can take pictures at close range but not go down to the glacier.

Day 4 Pudacuo of Dongzhulin Temple
October 5th. I really want to see Rizhao Jinshan again in the morning, but Meili Snow Mountain has returned to its usual posture, with mist and mist, and I didn’t even see the sunrise. People can’t be greedy, just once.
Departure at 8:00 a.m. for the return journey. The weather was very cloudy and it started to rain lightly. The fog on the mountain was very heavy, and the visibility was within 200 meters. We drove carefully along the Panshan Road. The fog gradually subsided when the altitude dropped to about 3500, and the snow mountain had long since disappeared.
It was already 11:30 to arrive at Zhulin Temple in Kardandong. This is the earliest birthplace of Tibetan Buddhism in western Yunnan. It was earlier than the Songzanlin Temple. The entire temple is a five-story wooden structure. It is said that there are a lot of treasures in it. When we arrived, we were having morning classes, and the big lama was sitting on the high platform leading everyone to chant sutras. The deacon lama saw us watching outside the hall and led us into the hall. With the ups and downs of the chanting tone, I visited the worship one by one, and felt that I was brought into that world. The temple is not big and is being repaired, and the golden dome seen from the mountain road in the distance is even more majestic.
Gadan Dongzhulin Temple
Drive to the Napa Sea and drive along the fork to the lake. Unfortunately, the weather is gloomy. If the sun is sufficient, the lake should be very clear.
After passing through the town of Shangri-La, we went directly to Pudacuo National Park without stopping. At 14:00, most of the tourist tours ended, and we avoided the peak of the tour. Pudacuo National Park is divided into Du Lake, Militang, Bita Lake and virgin forest. Among them, Shudu Lake and Bitahai have walking plank roads for hiking, and Militang is an alpine meadow where you can only get off the car and take pictures.
It takes 20 minutes by eco-car to arrive at the first stop, Shudu Lake. Surrounded by mountains, at an altitude of 3,705 meters, the virgin forest is well protected, the lake is very clear, the sun is just smiling, and the reflection of the forest in the lake is clearly visible. Although the altitude is high, the terrain is gentle and the air is very good. Shudu Lake in autumn is even more colorful, red, yellow, blue and green can be photographed easily. I personally think that Shudu Lake is more beautiful than Bitahai, so I suggest you spend more time.

Militang Alpine Ranch is located between Shudu Lake and Bita Lake. "Militang" means "Buddha-eye-shaped meadow". It is named for its shape like a slender Buddha's eye. It is a subalpine meadow at an altitude of 3,700 meters. Militang Ranch has always been an important pasture in Shangri-La, and the herdsmen here still maintain their grazing life. Tourists are not allowed to enter the ranch meadow, and the eco-car stops for five minutes to take pictures.

The last stop is Bitahai. The distant mountains are like Dai Lake and the lake is open. The plank road is 4.6 kilometers away. Mischievous squirrels and colorful birds can be seen everywhere. We didn't take a boat, but walking along the plank road felt comfortable and in good spirits. The environment has too much influence on people, and I don't want to stay in the smoggy air for a minute.

Day 5 Shuhe Ancient Town
October 6th. Happy last day too. Departing back to Lijiang early in the morning, there were more cars on the road and there was a little traffic jam. Just arrived at the store to return the car at 12:30. In the afternoon, we were squeezed into a seven-seater car, talking and laughing more happily.
Recommended by friends, Shuhe Green Plum and Bamboo Wine for lunch near Sifang Street in the ancient town. The dishes are good. The homemade plum wine, peach blossom wine, and rose wine are all delicious. After returning to Beijing, the boss specially asked the boss to mail a few bottles, which is very suitable for ladies.
The ancient town of Shuhe is not noisy, and there are not too many tourists, so I can visit the ancient town in one afternoon.
The trip is coming to an end. Drinking a glass of mango juice happily with friends is the best memory! Friends who have traveled together many times, the friendship will last forever, and we look forward to setting off together again!

1. After passing the Sichuan-Tibet line and the Qinghai-Tibet line, the altitude is not high this time, but we still need to prepare in advance, arrange a good rest, and don’t get overtired.
2. The temperature difference between morning and evening is large, so wear more layers of clothes that are easy to put on and take off. In the morning and evening, you need to add fleece to the jacket, and in general, you should wear a coat with short sleeves at noon. Wear hats, scarves and gloves to watch the sunrise and sunset. Glacier hiking shoes should be non-slip, and trekking poles can be brought if necessary.
3. Bring some high-calorie individually wrapped snacks. Fruits are replenished at any time along the way. Prepare some antihypertensive drugs, glucose granules, Fenbid, Rhodiola oral liquid, American ginseng tablets, VC effervescent tablets and flush with water at any time.
