Buddha is the messenger of compassion in Buddhist culture and the object of respect for all living beings.

Buddhist life is pursued?

In the interpretation of most people, "Buddhism" has become "it's okay to have it, it's okay to not have it, a life attitude that doesn't fight or grab, and doesn't seek to win or lose."

But is this really the case? I can't give an exact answer, but I don't agree with this point of view!

The word "Buddha" originated from an article titled "The first batch of post-90s have become monks". As soon as the word "Buddha" appeared in this article, it became a top traffic buzzword popular on the Internet.

"Buddhist Youth" was born from this!

The emergence of the term Buddhist youth has also been unanimously recognized by netizens. Everyone said that they are representatives of Buddhist youth. They have no pursuits, no goals, and everything is dispensable, but the attitude of the post-90s towards life is really so pessimistic?

I don't see it at all. In my opinion, "Buddhist youth" is the self-mockery and ridicule of the current situation of their own existence. Facing the burden of life, work, and family, the post-90s who grew up with the Internet are obviously better than the post-80s. More daring to express themselves, self-deprecating has become a way for the post-90s to relax themselves, not to represent how negative they are, but more to self-adjust under pressure, to laugh joyfully under serious conditions, and to relieve their anxiety.

When this point of view appeared, some people ridiculed, "Even if I am a Buddha, I must fight against Buddha"!

Most people yearn for a Buddhist life, but they can only think about it, who can escape from the world of mortals? This is just to find some fun for the boring days. Using the concept of Buddha, we are constantly looking for a way of life that suits us, and we can achieve our goals step by step.

If the "Buddhism" is the self-abandonment under the pressure of life, then is the core of the Buddhist culture that has been passed down for thousands of years also self-abandonment?

If this is the case, then Emperor Jianwen, who is not an emperor but a monk, can be regarded as a typical figure of "Buddhist youth", so in my opinion, Emperor Jianwen has nothing to do with "Buddhism". His life may be Buddhist, but his heart It is to clearly know what kind of life you want!

Emperor Jianwen's Hidden Lion Mountain

Speaking of "Buddhist" life, what popped into my mind was the legend that Emperor Jianwen hid Wuding Lion Mountain. In Wuding folklore, there is a detailed description of Emperor Jianwen becoming a monk.

According to legend, at the gate of Zhengxu Temple on Wuding Lion Mountain where Emperor Jianwen became a monk, there is a picture of "Bamboo sticks and straw shoes hidden in Lion Mountain". This picture details the story of Emperor Jianwen fleeing from Nanjing all the way to Lion Mountain. The truth is geometry? There is no way to study it, and we can only glimpse a little bit of origin and truth from the legends passed down by word of mouth.

The first half of Emperor Jianwen's life had nothing to do with the "Buddhist system". His first half of his life was full of glory. He was an heir to the throne that everyone sought after in Jinling City. He was born in the royal family from an early age, and lived a carefree life , never know the sufferings of people's livelihood.

Once the wind and rain came, a dynasty that had not been established for a long time faced the biggest crisis since its establishment. The rebellion caused by the battle for the throne caused the whole country to be in turmoil. When I arrived at Shishan, I often accompanied the ancient Buddha with blue lanterns in Shishan. related to the legend.

Lion Mountain Enlightenment Zen

Through the plants and trees on Lion Mountain, I seem to have seen the "Buddhist" life of the second half of the emperor's life. To be precise, "Buddha" does not seem to be appropriate. He neither retreated from the world nor immersed in the past life. Instead, he is actively starting a new life, and looking at it this way, he seems to have a little "Buddhist" stubbornness.

Zhengxu Temple is Emperor Jianwen's "pure cultivation site". He seems to have found a suitable life and meaning in this land, which is quite similar to "Buddhist youth"!

Morning bells and evening drums, self-cultivation and self-cultivation, getting up in the morning to visit the garden, enjoying flowers in the evening, listening to cicadas at night, enjoying leisure to the fullest, from Emperor Jianwen, what I see is indeed a Buddhist system, but it is limited to life and not limited to the heart.

Some people may say that he has changed from a ninety-five-year-old to a homeless man. This is his passive and reclusive attitude. Because he is powerless to change, he can only let go of real life.

Perhaps he also had this intention at the beginning, and these are beyond verification, but what I admire the most is: he is a Buddhist, but he does not give up on himself, and still has his own pursuit of a better life! Live in the moment, live clearly, live clearly!

If everyone has a "Buddhist" Emperor Jianwen in their hearts, it is better to say that everyone has a "Buddhist" self in their hearts. You can yearn for the Buddha, and you are allowed to try the "Buddha" life, but after all you Living in the world of mortals, after a moment of weakness and release of pressure, please return to "fighting and defeating Buddha"! Life still needs you to move on.

A mountain, a dream, a legend, after experiencing the "Buddha" life, wake up from the dream, defeat the Buddha and return!
