Zenlei Village is located in Sandu Shui Autonomous County, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou. I lived in Zhaoxing Dong Village the day before, and drove to Basha Miao Village for about 50 kilometers, which can be reached in one hour. From Basha Miao Village to the west to Zenlei Village, it is about 150 kilometers, nearly 3 hours by car. Howlei Village is the name of a relatively large administrative region. Strictly speaking, it should be the "Shuizu Village of Howlei Village". It is still inaccurate to say that it is a Shui nationality village. I saw a message on the Internet that the upper village here is the Shui nationality village, and the lower village is the Miao nationality village, not just the Shui nationality.

The Shui nationality village in Zenlei Village, or the Shui nationality cultural village, has not yet been marked as a scenic spot, whether it is on Gaode or Baidu maps. If the end point is set to Helei Village, it will navigate to a road in the village, I don’t know why. I asked along the way, and finally at the Veterans Service Station in Zuolei Village, the person at the door kindly told me that the platform that goes up from a relatively steep slope next to it is the parking lot. There is a homestay next to the parking lot called "Meitu Fengsu", and "Meitu Fengsu" is the most accurate navigation target.

The Shui people have their own script, called "Shui Shu". The village has existed for more than 300 years, and the original ecology of the national culture is well preserved. It is said that the horsetail embroidery, batik, bronze drum, ancient ladle dance, ancient music, etc. are all kept in the "original" state, but I have not seen any of them, after all, it is not a festival season. Moreover, these folk customs should not be unique to the Shui people. For example, the ancient ladle dance seems to be dominated by the Miao people, and the bronze drums seem to be spread among the Yi, Miao, Zhuang, Yao, Shui, Buyi and other ethnic minorities. However, there are still 8 "ganlan" dwellings in the village that are more than one hundred years old, which are similar to the pottery houses of the Han Dynasty unearthed in Guizhou, which is worth seeing. The entire village is original and has no business. The villagers are very kind and shy. When I took pictures, they smiled and said to me: "It's not good-looking, it's not good-looking", pure and lovely. On the way, I met three children, probably siblings. I made a gesture to take pictures of them, and the two older sisters pulled the younger brother to pose in a graceful manner.

I secretly rejoiced that there were no tourists (probably not very ethical). It can be seen that investment has been made to build it, but it was not very successful, and inconvenient transportation may be the main factor. Although the village is not big, it took 2 to 3 hours to stop here. Enter from the upper village, and then circle around the ridge next to the lower village, without entering the lower village. There are also some scenic spots nearby, such as the dragon and phoenix stone tomb, the rhinoceros cave, etc., but it is too late to see, and the indicators are not very clear.

"Meitu Fengsu" has a good review on Ctrip, maybe you can find another opportunity to stay here for a while, and look for the ruins of the ancient city of Dujiang by the way. According to Baidu, Zenlei Village is "across the river from the ancient city of Dujiang", but neither AutoNavi nor Baidu Maps has any interest in the ruins of "Dujiang Ancient City", the "oldest ancient city in Guizhou".

It is about 40 kilometers away from Sandu County, an hour's drive. It is about 70 kilometers away from the small town of Wanda Danzhai, and it takes 1.5 hours by car. I booked the Wanda Moment Hotel in Danzhai town before. The environment and night view are good.
