228 Peace Memorial Park, formerly known as the "New Park" built in 1908. In 1996, to commemorate the outbreak of the February 28 Incident in 1947, the park was renamed the February 28 Peace Memorial Park.
Entering from the main entrance of the park, you can see a hanging "Peace Bell", which expresses the people's desire for a peaceful life. Walking along the forest path, you will see a semi-dome open-air music stage on the left, which used to be the center of performances here. The open-air music platform is facing the 228 Peace Monument. This is a uniquely shaped building. Three huge cubes of rock texture erect a pointed arch. Enter the inner space of the monument along the winding road and bridge, and you can see a symbol The large urn of the victims' bones has a round stone slab in front of it, with an inscription commemorating the February 28 incident engraved on it.
