The Lone Tree Forest is actually an old banyan tree with a history of more than 900 years. The big tree is located next to the Manzhang Stockade in the border trade zone of Daluo Town, Xishuangbanna. The height of the tree is more than 70 meters, and the area of the tree is 120 square meters. There are 31 roots standing on the ground.
In addition to the main trunk of the big banyan tree, many pillar roots grow from the branches and are inserted into the soil. The pillar roots become another tree, forming a spectacular scene of tree growing and root connecting. Since 1992, it has been planted with flowers and plants by the local people and opened up as a scenic spot, attracting many domestic and foreign tourists to watch and take pictures every day. It also breaks the saying that "a single thread does not make a thread, and a single tree does not make a forest".
