Ai Siqi Memorial Hall is located in the ancient town of Heshun. It is a courtyard building with brick and wood structure combining Chinese and Western styles. There is a plaque of "Ai Siqi Memorial Hall" hanging at the gate. The buildings in the courtyard are exquisite, with balustrades and western-style balconies dotted. The memorial hall faces Yuanlong Youtan in front and Fengshan Mountain in the back. The terrain is high and wide, and the environment is beautiful.
Ai Siqi, formerly known as Li Shengxuan, was born in Shuidu Village in February 1910. His father, Li Yuegai, was a veteran of the Revolution of 1911 and followed Mr. Sun Yat-sen in the revolution. Ai Siqi went out with his father when he was two years old, and studied in Hong Kong, Kunming, Nanjing and other places. Ai Siqi is a Marxist philosopher with wide influence. He wrote many popular philosophical works in his life, especially "Popular Philosophy" The two books "Philosophy and Life" have guided countless young people on the road of revolution. His book "Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism" has long been a philosophy textbook in colleges and universities.
The memorial hall is located in the northeast of the ancient town, within walking distance of the ancient town. Walking into the small courtyard, pictures and related texts showing Ai Siqi's life and deeds are displayed on the west building and the upper hall. There is no need to purchase additional tickets for the Ai Siqi Memorial Hall, and the 80 yuan ticket for Heshun Ancient Town is already included.
