Altai Mountain Wild Snow Park is located on the southern slope of the Altai Mountains. The winter snow storage period here is as long as 8 months. The snowfall is 2-3 meters, and the snow quality is powder snow. The park focuses on off-country skiing, and there is no fixed ski track mode. It is a natural ski resort, where you can ski all the way.
The park is surrounded by high mountains, and the continuous, white and immaculate vast snow scene allows every skier to enjoy the original ecology of nature while experiencing the fun of skiing. At present, the park has four areas: Wolf Den Area, Secret Garden Area, Helicopter All-Day Ski Area and Snow Cat Area, and each area has a large skiable area.
The wolf den area is a must-ski place for first-time contact with wild snow and adaptive sliding wild snow. The sliding slope is small, including machine-pressed ski trails, test ski trails, mushroom trails, flag gates and small jumping platforms. This is a "threshold". Only when you slide under the guidance of the coach and pass the test can you continue to the secret garden and snow cat area.
The snow cat area also has a beautiful name "Powder Snow Paradise". The valley surrounded by mountains contains more than a dozen 2,500-3,000-meter-high skiable hills, with an altitude difference of about 600-800 meters. Snow cat is a kind of snow grooming vehicle with tracks, and it is also a means of transportation in the snow. It crawls in the snow like a cat, so it is called snow cat. You don’t have to go back to the base for skiing here, and the staff will bring you lunch on snowmobiles, so you can enjoy a whole day of skiing.
In the secret garden area, when you pass the wolf den area test, you can slide smoothly in this area. Compared with the wolf den area, the slope here is relatively steeper, with an altitude of about 2,700 meters and a drop of nearly 800 meters. There are all kinds of machine-pressed ski trails, large flat snow slopes, jungle crossings, and rocky areas.
The helicopter all-day skiing area is divided into three options: single experience, all-day straight skiing and helicopter sightseeing. The starting point is Jiangjun Mountain in Altay City, and the landing point is the top of the secret garden, with an altitude of about 2,700 meters. This is a rare helicopter skiing base in China, and it is also the third largest helicopter wild snow skiing base in the world. If your level is high enough, you can try to challenge it.
