There are many endangered alpine rare animals living in the reserve, including large ungulates such as wild yaks, Tibetan antelopes, and Tibetan wild asses. There are also a large number of birds clustered in various alpine lakes, the number of which is no less than that of Qinghai Lake. The natural landscape here is also very beautiful, including sandy beaches and deserts, Aqike Lake, a non-frozen lake in the inland plateau, Xinqing Peak of "Guilin Landscape on the Plateau", Muztag Ice Peak densely covered with glaciers, Qianlei Spring, Yinyang Lake and other scenic spots; many mantras carved on stones in Tibetan were also found in the mountains.
