The Apeng River rushes down from Lichuan, Hubei, passes through the Wuling Mountains, and flows into the Wujiang River through the Qianjiang River to Gongtan, Youyang. The total length is 249 kilometers, and it is the largest tributary of the Wujiang River. The Apeng River in the Qianjiang River has high mountains and deep valleys, confronting cliffs, and vertical and horizontal tributaries. It gathers the original peculiarity of Shengui Gorge, the magical beauty of Guandu Gorge, the hot springs and karst caves of the tributary Xisha River, the geysers and natural bridges, the big funnel and the Puhua River. There are five unique scenic spots including the Underground Underground River (can be rowed), and the Four Natural Bridges of Shenxi River.
