Yasang Temple is located on the halfway of Bianke Mountain at an altitude of 4330 meters in Yasang Township, Nedong County. It faces east from west and belongs to the main temple of Yasang Kagyu Sect. The Yasang Kagyu sect was founded by Gedan Yixi Sengge. Gedan Yixi Sengge is a native of Menyu. He shepherds sheep for others when he was young. In 1206 (the year of the fire tiger in the Tibetan calendar), his disciple Que Menlang presided over the construction of Yasang Temple. Yasang Temple is 360 meters long from north to south and 250 meters wide from east to west. The temple is built on the mountain, and looks like six or seven rows of buildings from a distance. The top of the important halls of the temple is also decorated with golden domes. In addition, the long zigzag main road around the Panshan Temple in front contrasts with it, which is quite similar to the Potala of Lhasa. The air in the palace is hot, so it is also called "Little Potala". Yasang Temple is mainly dedicated to the alloy Sakyamuni statue, which is more than 20 centimeters taller than the Sakyamuni statue in the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa.
