In the 8th century AD, Chide Zuzan married Princess Jincheng of the Tang Dynasty. Princess Jincheng welcomed the Buddha statue of Sakyamuni brought by Princess Wencheng to the main hall of Jokhang Temple, formulated a whole set of rituals for offering sacrifices, and built a forest called "Bagaga Forest" between Hongshan and Yaowangshan. The three big white pagodas form the gate to Lhasa.
