Mentougou Baihuashan Nature Reserve has the same name as Fangshan Baihuashan Scenic Area. In addition, many tourists will confuse Hefangshan Baicaopan Scenic Area and Yesanpo Baicaopan Scenic Area with these two scenic spots. In fact, several scenic spots are located in the Baihua Mountains, which have a main peak on both sides of Beijing and Hebei. Mentougou Baihuashan Nature Reserve belongs to the main peak on the Beijing side. Beijing Fangshan Baicaopan Natural Scenic Area and Fangshan Baihuashan Scenic Area are also located on this main peak. It belongs to one mountain. There are three scenic spots on three sides. Fees can be connected at the top of the mountain , the famous Baihua Meadow can be reached from these three scenic spots. The Yesanpo Baicaopan Scenic Spot is located on the Hebei side. It is a separate scenic spot and is not connected to the other three scenic spots. The alpine meadow of Yesanpo is another concept, which needs to be distinguished before the trip.

The visit to Baihua Mountain in Mentougou is relatively simple. Tourists start to climb the mountain after entering the scenic spot (the original cableway in the scenic spot has been abandoned), and it takes about 2-3 hours to reach the Baihua Meadow on the top of the mountain. It takes about half a day.

The climbing road is mainly made of stone steps and wooden plank roads. There are many birch forests and pine trees along the way. The environment is beautiful. It feels very good to breathe the fresh air in nature on the way up. There are also scenic spots on the road such as Songting Sunset and Changling Songtao, which are mainly beautiful forests and pavilions, as well as handsome mountains, etc. You can just watch them one by one when climbing. In autumn, the mountains are full of red leaves, and this is one of the few places in Beijing that is not so crowded to enjoy red leaves.

After arriving at the top of the mountain, the most important thing is to visit the Hundred Flowers Meadow. From June to August every year, the wild flowers on the top meadow are in full bloom, and the colorful flowers cover the grass. The scenery is very beautiful, and it is very good to take pictures here. And every autumn, the place is golden and the landscape is particularly beautiful. In addition, there are often wonders such as the sea of ​​clouds on the top of the mountain, which can be photographed.

Catering and accommodation:

To visit the Mentougou Baihua Mountain Scenic Area, you can return to the urban area on the same day, or you can stay at the foot of the mountain for one night. In Bamuyan Village, about 8 kilometers away from the gate of the scenic spot, there are many farmhouses providing accommodation and catering. The conditions here are average, and most of the baths are public bathrooms. However, the local farmers are warm and honest, and there are farm dishes to taste. It is very good to experience rural life here.
