Baiquan Valley Scenic Spot is located at the southern foot of Yilehuli Mountain, the main vein of Daxingan Mountains. It is named after the Baiquan River in the valley. It is 24 kilometers away from the urban area of Jiagedaqi, the capital of Daxinganling Mountains. The total planning area is 322 square kilometers, and the forest coverage rate reaches 89%. The planning of the scenic spot is divided into four core areas: Tiantai Mountain, Luquan Mountain, Forest Medicine Spring and Medicine Valley, and high mountains and deep valleys for original ecological experience. It will build an eco-tourism summer resort integrating forest health care, leisure sightseeing, tourism and vacation, and outdoor experience. Baiquangu Scenic Area has Quaternary glacier relics such as the Ice-eroded Great Wall and Wave-eroded Caves. Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area has ancient painted rock paintings praying for heaven. According to experts from the World Rock Painting Society, it has been about 10,000 years ago, and it is extremely rare among the painted rock paintings that have been discovered in the world. More than 280 natural springs have been found in Baiquangu Scenic Area, and the content of radon in the spring water is relatively high, up to 4.05 times the national standard for medicinal springs. After testing, the concentration of negative oxygen ions in the air can reach 38,000-50,000 per cubic centimeter, and PM2.5 is lower than 10 micrograms. The air in the scenic spot is fresh, the forest is lush, the wetland is beautiful, and it has a unique humid and cool microclimate. The scenic spot is rich in resources of wild Chinese herbal medicines, and there are many kinds of plants. 608 species of wild plants have been found, basically including all the plant species in Daxinganling from north to south. In 2016, Baiquangu Scenic Area was rated as the first batch of pilot forest health care bases in China by China Forestry Industry Federation and Forest Medicine and Health Promotion Association. In 2018, it was rated as the best tourism and leisure resort by the Heilongjiang branch of the China Tourism General Evaluation List. It also won the honorary title of China's beautiful forest eco-tourism scenic spot at the China Excellent Tourism Brand Promotion Summit. And in December of the same year, it was approved to be promoted to AAA-level scenic spot.
