introduce
Baita Temple, known as Xie Erzhi Baidai in Tibetan, is the Eastern Huanhua Temple. It is one of the four Tibetan Buddhist temples in Liangzhou (Baita Temple, Lianhuashan Temple, Haizang Temple, and Jinta Temple). It is located 20 kilometers southeast of Liangzhou City. Baita Village, Wunan Town, which is more than 10 kilometers away, has a flat and open terrain and a mild climate. It is an alluvial oasis in the lower reaches of the Zamu River in the Huangyang River system. Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway and National Highway 312 pass through it on the east and west sides.
Baita Temple was the place where Sakya Pandita (Sapan) of Tibet at that time held the "Liangzhou Talks" with Kuoduan, the representative of Mongolia and the commander of the West Route Army, and it was also the place where Saban passed away later. This historic meeting decided that the Tibet region officially became an administrative region under the direct jurisdiction of the central government of the Yuan Dynasty of China, marking that the Tibet region has since been included in the territory of China, and has far-reaching and special significance in the process of forming a multi-ethnic country in China.
