Baiyu Temple is located on the north slope of Baiyu County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is one of the three larger Nyingmapa Lama Temples in the Kangzang area (the other two are Gantuo Temple in Baiyu County and Zhuqing Temple in Dege County). One of the five major temples supported by Dege Tusi. In the 14th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1675), the site was selected to build the temple. The terrain around the temple site is auspicious, so it is named "Auspicious Zunsheng Putizhou".

Baiyu can indeed be called a fairy tale world. Occupying an entire mountain beside the county seat, there are row upon row of temples and huts where lamas practice.

Baiyu Temple is not only the landmark building of Baiyu County, but also a more suitable building group for landscape photography due to the terrain. The light of Baiyu is special. At dusk, the visual impact of Baiyu Temple makes people flustered. The light in the morning gives people peace and tranquility, and it is very easy to produce good films.
