Baiyun Temple, also known as Luzu Temple, was built in the 17th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (AD 1837). It was built by Husong, the governor of Shaanxi and Gansu, and it was also one of the three ancient Lanzhou temples.

The forehead of Baiyunguan mountain gate is carved with the words "Going up to the clouds and getting the way", and the wooden plaque of "Baiyunguan" inscribed by Deng Baoshan hangs on the lintel.
