Bangtuo Temple is located in Rongmuda Township, Rangtang County, Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, 32 kilometers away from the county seat. Founded in the Yuan Dynasty, it belongs to the Nyingma School (Red Sect) monastery of Tibetan Buddhism. Existing cultural relics include Lama Pagoda and stone inscription Tibetan scriptures.
The total area of the temple is 1.023 hectares, with a building area of 1538 square meters. The temple has a total of 32 Lama pagodas, which were built successively during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. They are distributed in the middle of the temple with a length of 465 meters and a width of 25 meters. It is also known as the three largest pagoda groups in Tibetan areas of the country. The pagodas are all square pagoda bases in the wave-blocking style, bottle-shaped pagoda bodies, and thirteen-wheel pagoda brakes. The tower is empty inside, and there are statues of Thousand-handed Thousand-Eyes Buddha, Sakyamuni Buddha, Amitayus Buddha, Lotus and Peanut, Buddha Mother, Green Tara and a large number of exquisite murals in the tower. Among them, Jiangyao Pagoda was built in 1427. The side length of the pagoda base is 9.25 meters, and the tower body is 32 meters high. It contains some Ming Dynasty Buddha statues and murals. It is the Lama Pagoda with a long history among the pagodas. The stone carvings of the Tibetan Tripitaka were carved in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is divided into two parts, "Ganzhuer" and "Danzhuer". rice. It is a relatively complete collection of stone inscriptions in Tibetan areas, and it is also a large number of stone inscriptions in the country. It has a far-reaching influence among religious believers in Tibetan areas.
