Baotou Museum is located in the center of Baotou, very close to the railway station. The museum was established in 1998, with an exhibition hall area of ​​15,000 square meters, integrated with Baotou Art Museum. The exhibition area is a three-story building, the first floor is an art gallery, and the second and third floors are museums. The theme of the overall building is "the boulder on the grassland, the culture on the boulder", with magnificent shape and profound connotation. Seen from a distance, the whole building looks like a steep cliff, towering and majestic, full of interest, which is in line with the regional characteristics of Baotou. The museum and the lawns, flowers, green trees and fountains on the Friendship Square complement each other, forming a magnificent landscape with profound cultural heritage and modern rhythm.

The exhibition hall has a large space, and different exhibition areas are divided according to different exhibition contents. In each exhibition area, many objects related to the evolution and development of Baotou are displayed, and many of them are very precious cultural relics. Although the other ones are not cultural relics, they have a good display and interpretation of Mongolian culture, which is also very good.
