Pigeon Nest Park is a must-see attraction for almost every visitor to Beidaihe. One of the must-go reasons is to watch the "bath day" (sunrise on the sea) at Yingjiao Pavilion. Although Beidaihe has a sun-watching resort, the sunrise is not easy to see. The visibility of the sea is not high in the early morning, and sometimes it will be foggy. The probability of seeing the sunrise after September is relatively high. The second reason why you must go is to watch birds in the shallows. There are more than 1,200 species of birds in China, and 416 species have been found in Beidaihe. Every spring (mid-March-late May) and autumn (early September-mid-November) Tens of thousands of migratory birds migrate and stay here, which is a good time for bird watching. Pigeon Nest Park is not a bathing beach, and you cannot swim in the sea, but you can step on the sea water with bare feet, and there is a place to wash your feet for free.

There are many scenic spots in Beidaihe. You can also go to the strange building and garden to see the strange and cute castle; go to Lianfeng Mountain Park to climb the mountain. The mountain is only 153 meters high. There is a free Jieshi Garden at the foot of Lianfeng Mountain. The word "jieshi" precipitates the ancient history of Qinhuangdao, and the back of the huge stone in the garden is engraved with the poem "Looking at Jieshi in the east to see the sea".

Cycling along the coast is also a good choice. Bicycles can be rented in general scenic spots and hotels, and you can bargain for a long time. If you are interested, you can ride all the way to Nandaihe, which is also a beach, much quieter than Beidaihe. Beidaihe sometimes has traffic control, and some sections of the road are not allowed to pass by bicycles, so detours are required.

Seafood is of course a must when you come to the beach. The Shitang Road Pedestrian Street to the southwest of Weilou Qiyuan has a wide variety of seafood; the Hongshi Road Night Market to the east (including Heishi Road and Heishi Branch Road next to it) not only has seafood stalls, but also sells shells and pearls. Waiting for seaside special products and handicrafts, you can go south along Hongshi Road until you reach the seaside. After eating seafood at night, it is very good to go to the seaside to watch the rising moon. Of course, the night market is just a customary name, and it is also open during the day, but there are more street stalls at night. You can also go to the Shitang Road Market on Shitang Road Pedestrian Street to buy fresh seafood. Yuhua Road is close to Beijing Institute of Technology Qinhuangdao Campus. There is a Chunhua Road Farmer’s Market where you can also buy seafood. There are not as many varieties as Shitang Road, but the locals go to buy vegetables. The place is more reliable. The bought seafood can be brought back to the hotel and asked the boss to make it, or it can be made for the restaurant, but you should pay attention to the "substitution plan" used by the store. The special seafood in Beidaihe includes scallops, swimming crabs, Pipi shrimp, etc. In addition to seafood, other delicious foods in Beidaihe include barbecue, mutton soup, and Yang intestines (a special product of Beidaihe, recommended, a particularly delicious ham sausage).

In addition to eating seafood stalls and visiting the night market, Beidaihe’s nightlife can also sit in the Biluo Tower Bar Park. There are Thai ladyboy performances every night, and there is also a "Moon on the Sea" themed performance in July every year.

There are quite a lot of accommodations in Beidaihe, ranging from family hotels of tens of yuan to hotels of several hundred yuan. The price will double during the peak tourist season, and reservations need to be made in advance. With more accommodation, more tourists come to Beidaihe!
