introduce
Beitou Hot Spring Museum is a hot spring public bath built in 1913. It adopts Japanese-style wooden structure, backed by green hills, with winding paths leading to secluded places and sparse flowers and trees. In 1997, it was designated as a cultural relic and converted into Beitou Hot Spring Museum.
Enter the museum, go down the wooden ladder to the first basement floor, and you will reach the hot spring bath in the middle. Roman arches surround the baths, and sunlight filters through the stained glass, casting exotic projections. Bathing here is limited to men, and beside it are the brushes, ladles, buckets and other supplies of the early Beitou Hot Springs. This used to be the largest hot spring bath in East Asia. Today, it still has a bit of style and grandeur, almost like a swimming pool. size.
