The Great and Small Mountains are located 60 kilometers northwest of Yindeer Town, Zhalaite Banner. The mountains are long strips running from northeast to southwest, mostly between 500-800 meters above sea level, with a relative height of 300-400 meters. The rocks are mainly granite. The foot of the mountain is grassland, and the top of the mountain is shrub forest. The mountains are majestic and steep, with many strange peaks and rocks. The local famous mountain peak, Shilaoye Peak, is 720 meters above sea level, with a relative height of 125 meters. According to local legend, Mosheli, a famous general of the Six Dynasties, appeared here after his death, so it is called Shenshan.

Extending to the northeast, the mountain gradually decreases and is divided into two rows, the front row is the big mountain, and the back row is the small mountain. The mountain is rich in medicinal materials and mountain delicacies, as well as rare animals such as red deer, roe deer, wild boar, and flying dragon.
