Hunhuai barrier is the earliest known ancient building in the city so far. In the 33rd year of Qin Shihuang (214 BC), Qin general Meng Tian expelled the Xiongnu to the north, and took over Henan (now the northwest area of Hetao of the Yellow River), set up 44 counties, built the Great Wall, set up pavilions and barriers, and defended the Xiongnu.
