Bixi Ancient Town is located in the north of Lianzhu Town, Mojiang County, Yunnan Province. The urban area of the ancient town covers an area of 10.37 hectares. There are 246 households with a population of 890 people. The Han, Hani, Yi, Lahu and Dai peoples live in it. It has a subtropical monsoon climate. The ancient town was first built in the Ming Dynasty. It was an important post station on the Ancient Tea Horse Road. It is beautiful, rich, complete in shape and well preserved. It is the seat of the ancient Mojiang County and one of the 60 tourist towns in Yunnan. It is located on the only road between Kunming, Yuxi Central Yunnan Tourism Area and Xishuangbanna South Yunnan Tourism Area. Yuanmo Expressway and Chujiang Provincial Highway pass through the town, and the all-interchange overpass is 1 km away from the ancient town.
