Fudi Lake Scenic Area is located in Fudi Forest, 18 kilometers east of Yijun County, Tongchuan, 30 kilometers away from the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor, and 150 kilometers away from Xi'an City. It is a tourist scenic spot integrating water entertainment, agricultural sightseeing, and summer vacation.
Fudi Lake was a scenic spot of Yijun in ancient times, but it was gradually lost in history and redeveloped in recent years. The Northern Wei Grottoes on the hillside of Fudi Lake were first built in 446. According to records, Yijun County was once one of the places where Buddhism flourished in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and people who worshiped and believed in Buddhism dug many grottoes. Although most of these grottoes have been destroyed today, there are still quite artistic stone carvings in the remaining grottoes.
