There is a lone peak on the southeast side of Dongfeng, with a flat top, which is Botai. The area on the platform is about several square meters, facing the gully on three sides, and is connected to the East Peak by a knife-shaped mountain back. The cloudy weather is like a fairy island on the sea, flickering, very magical. Huashan Dangerous Road Yaozi turning over is the only way from Dongfeng to Botai.
In ancient times, standing on the Wangbo platform at Dongfeng, I saw a square stone on the platform, which was uneven like a chess board, so it was called chess stone. After the Song Dynasty, because of the pavilion built on the platform, it was often called the chess pavilion.
Legendary story:
According to records, before the Han Dynasty, tourists began to climb the mountain from Huangfu Valley on the east side, first boarded the "Botai", and then passed the "Kite Turning Over" from here, and then visited the peaks of Huashan Mountain.
