Bodhi Temple is located on the west side of the middle section of Southwest Road in Mangshi, and it is a temple of Theravada Buddhism. It is called "Zangxiang" in Dai language, which means gem temple. According to records, the temple was first built in the 16th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. According to legend, the eldest son of Mangshi (now Mangshi) chief executive officer abandoned his official position, shaved his hair and became a monk, and built this temple. tree, so it was named Bodhi Temple by the tree. For more than 300 years, it has been repeatedly destroyed by wars and catastrophes. It has been broken and rebuilt. The Bodhi Temple has gone through vicissitudes. Until now, except for the roof of the Xieshan style of the Han nationality, the overall structure is the style of the Dai nationality.

Although the temple is small, it covers an area of ​​3,600 square meters. There are a variety of murals, paper-cuts, and thousands of volumes of scriptures in the temple, including Dai art treasures in different historical stages over the past three or four hundred years. A pair of stone-carved animals in front of the main hall is a kind of strange beast in Myanmar legend, called "Gadot", which is dedicated to guarding the Buddhist hall. Bodhi Temple is not only a place for monks to chant scriptures and believers to worship, but also a treasure house of Dai folk art.

The Bodhi Temple has been repaired with colorful paintings, and the temple is even more imposing. On the eighth, fifteenth, twenty-third, and thirty-ninth day of the lunar calendar, believers from nearby villages gather here, holding flowers and offerings, and worship Buddha devoutly. This temple enjoys a certain reputation in Myanmar and is also a famous Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia.
