Bopiliao is located in Wanhua District, Taipei City. In the past, Wanhua was also called Mengka, which was an important road for water transportation in the Qing Dynasty. Bopiliao is located on Mengka Street. place. Strolling along the old street, there are mostly one or two-story brick-wood structure houses on both sides of the winding, red bricks against black tiles, dark brown wooden doors and windows, and southern Fujian-style corridors, which look ancient. Today's Bopiliao is no longer inhabited, and the relevant local authorities spent more than NT$400 million to renovate the old street as a place for sightseeing, local education and cultural activities. Because the movie "Monga" was filmed here, Bopiliao became famous day by day, attracting many tourists. It has become a very distinctive old tourist street in Taipei.
Bopiliao Old Street contains many old houses and old residences, such as Dr. Lu Achang’s house, Zhang Taiyan’s residence in Taiwan, Fengxiang Bathroom, Song Xiexing House, Changshou House Tea Table Store, Yongxing Pavilion, Xiuying Tea House, Weilingtan, Japan Xiang Hotel, Taiyang Manufacturing Office, etc. There are also some scene decorations here, such as roadside porridge stalls, which do not open fire for business, but are set up for tourists to take pictures as souvenirs.
In addition, after visiting the old street, you can also walk to the nearby Longshan Temple to pay homage.
