The bronze chariots and horses were found 20 meters to the west of the mausoleum of Qin Shihuang. They were two large painted bronze chariots and horses, one in front and the other in a wooden coffin. Although it was crushed by filling when it was unearthed, the original position has not changed much, and the components of the chariot and horses are basically complete. This is the earliest, large and well-preserved bronze chariot and horse discovered in the archaeological history of our country. Archaeologists restored it and exhibited it for the first time in 1983. Bronze chariots and horses are one of Qin Shihuang's funeral objects, symbolizing a part of Qin Shihuang's ride. The bronze chariots and horses are made in a scale reduced to one-half of the real copper chariots and horses. The car cover and the inside and outside of the car are painted with exquisite patterns, and the gold and silver ornaments on them weigh 14 kilograms. The No. 1 bronze chariot horse is a vertical chariot, also known as a high chariot. The carriage has a single shaft and two wheels. The carriage is horizontally rectangular. The door is at the back of the carriage. There is a round copper umbrella on the carriage. Under the umbrella stands an imperial officer, driving the carriage with both hands and four horses in front. The car is equipped with weapons such as copper crossbows, copper shields, and copper arrowheads, which played the role of clearing the way, guarding and conquering the emperor's convoy. Car No. 2 is Anche, also with a single shaft and two wheels. The total weight is 1241 kg, and it is assembled from 3462 parts. There are two compartments in the compartment, the front and the back, with windows between them, and the door for getting on the train is at the back, with an oval cover on it. It is among the unearthed cultural relics in the country, complete with driving equipment, high-level, and finely crafted bronze treasures.
