Climb to the north peak of Huashan Mountain, turn south again, pass through the ear cliff, and go up the ladder, and there is a long ridge in front of you. It is vast, the ridge is pale black, straight into the sky, like a dragon soaring into the sky, so it is called "Canglong Ridge". The steps on this ridge are only more than 2 feet wide, with deep ravines on both sides, as steep as a knife and an axe. The height difference between the upper and lower sides of the ridge is about 500 meters, and the slope is more than 45 degrees. Looking at the green pines and white clouds here, and hearing the wind blowing, it is dizzying.

If you climb the mountain at night and look at Canglong Ridge from a distance, you will see countless light points lined up in a straight line, slanting towards the sky, and slowly moving upwards. Tourists are climbing on the mountain with flashlights or headlights. It looks like climbing to the sky.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, as the number of sacrifices to the Huashan God by the imperial court increased, Canglong Ridge had 250 stone steps. Therefore, there is a folk story about Bi Yuan, the governor of Shaanxi during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, who excavated Canglongling. It is said that when Bi Yuan asked the masons to chisel the mountain, it rained blood for three days in Chang'an City. It turned out that Canglong Ridge was a living dragon, which was chiseled to death by Master Bi. It is said that since then, Huashan has broken the dragon vein, and there will be no such big men as Yang Zhen and Yang Jian. In order to avoid congestion during the peak tourist season, in the spring of 1998, a climbing trail was dug in Feiyu Ridge in the east of Canglong Ridge to ensure the safety of tourists.
