The Ninth Cave is the Ash Buddha Cave, which was excavated from 471 to 494 A.D. The cave resembles a Han style, with distinct Chinese and national characteristics. The ninth and tenth caves are a group of double caves. The structure of the front and back rooms is a Han-style hall layout. The gate of the cave is lined with columns, with three rooms on each side. Thousand Buddhas are carved on the column, and the base of the column is supported by lions and elephants, which is very spectacular. It's a pity that the carvings on the outside of the column body and the elephant head at the base of the column have been completely weathered, and they can no longer show the magnificent scene of that year.
The gate of the ninth cave is a traditional Chinese hip-hop-style building, with symmetrical niches on both sides, a combination of Chinese and Western styles, which has a strong decorative meaning. The four walls of the cave are layered with niches, and the themes of the statues are mostly from the "Lotus Sutra". The top of the cave is in the shape of a grid, with lotus and flying apsaras carved inside the grid. Yasha is strong and strong, supporting the horizontal beam with one hand. The main statue of Sakyamuni is carved on the north wall of the back room, and there is a Bodhisattva on the east and west walls.
