Changmaoling Deer Farm is located in Nadengtong, Changmaoling Township, Leiwuqi County, with an altitude of 3960 meters and 52 kilometers away from the county seat. In 1988, the place was designated as a red deer nature reserve by the Tibet Rare Wildlife Expedition Team. Changmaoling Deer Farm was first built in 1975 and expanded year by year. It now covers an area of ​​3.6 square kilometers and raises more than 120 wild horse deer. There are at least several hundred wild deer outside the deer farm.

The Changmaoling Deer Farm is not only in Qamdo, but also the only natural domestication site for red deer in Tibet. The deer farm is dominated by red deer, a national second-class protected animal, and a small number of national first-class protected animals, white-lipped deer. Due to the relationship between terrain and climate, the area around the deer farm has open mountains, rich water and grass, and rich vegetation.
