Chengdu Tiantai Mountain is located in Qionglai City, about 110 kilometers away from Chengdu. This is the habitat of giant pandas, with dense forests, and Qingxi Waterfall can be seen everywhere. Along the mountain road, there are water views all the way. The Jinlong River descends from Yuxiao Peak, where many streams converge, and there are dense waterfalls and deep pools along the way. Among them, the most famous one is Xiangshuitan Waterfall, which is one of the larger waterfalls in western Sichuan.
The top of the Xichuan cliff is Moyun Peak, which is famous for its high peaks and dangerous cliffs. It was a place for worshiping heaven in ancient times. Climbing to the top of the mountain, you can see the ruins of the sky lanterns lit by the ancients - Tiandenggang. Every Spring Festival in the Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area, high poles are erected to hang string lights to pray for safety. The sky lantern in Moyun Peak can be seen dozens of miles away, and it is a famous local landscape.
In the Shibali Xiangcaogou Scenic Area in the lower part of the stream, many water activities have been developed, such as mother-child wooden boats, tracing the source of the stream, water skiing, bamboo rafting, water swings, water climbing ladders, etc. It is a summer paradise for Chengdu people. In addition, Tiantai Mountain has the largest firefly viewing base in Asia. From the foot of the mountain at an altitude of 800 meters to about 1400 meters, there are 17 species of fireflies distributed. On summer nights, tens of thousands of fireflies are flying in the forest, and the stars are lighting up the lights, which is quite spectacular. From April to October every year, fireflies can be seen, and the better viewing point is on the hillside between Zhengtiantai and Xiushui Sanyun.
